Gateway to The Petrified Forest RV
Located close to both the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert National Parks as well as Holbrook, AZ we found this campground easy to access, clean and well run albeit simple in its layout. There isn’t any shade here so not sure how that would work out in the summer. We were welcomed by the attendant, set up quickly and drove into Holbrook for a delicious dinner. We enjoyed our short stay.

Gateway to The Petrified Forest RV
It was a little basic in terms of facilities but lovely and quiet, and the sky was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend it as a peaceful little stopover.

No shade,
There are no shade trees, no individual bbq’s or picnic tables, no restrooms.
Close to the petrified forest though!
Camp host was very nice.
