It is the peace and tranquility of the wetlands, and the time spent with family and friends in these unique ecosystems, that always brought me comfort and wonder. It was in June of 2019 that dreams of having my name attached to land became a reality. Since the contract was signed; family, friends, and I have been developing the property and programming classes and adventures to share with those who seek them. We have developed several unique sites to share with you and will continue to improve as we foster our partnership with the land and share its bounty.

Camping on Pipers Pond

Learn more about this land: Watch the sun and moon rise over the pond from the grassy knoll in the edge of the woods or under the trees. Enjoy paddling around the pond, fishing and watching the ducks and geese during the day and relaxing around the fire pit at night. We offer 2 campsites on the pond on our private property. They are both slightly sloped. Site 1 is on the grassy knoll overlooking the pond. It is sunny early in the day and gets shady as the day progresses. It is closer to the outhouse. Site 2 is under the trees and right beside the pond. It gets spotty sun throughout the day. We live through the woods past the campsites. An outhouse with composting toilet, potable water, picnic table, grill, fire pit, fire wood and trash can are provided. Please note that we do not offer a 30 amp camper hookup, only a 15 amp electrical cord running from our house that will run lights, but not a/c or heat.

Surrounded by tall pines and hickory trees, enjoy rustic camping here with two sites available. One site is the Flower child site and one is Moondance, perfect for anyone who wishes to camp in a rustic, artsy, hippie space. We are approximately 20 minutes from the Congaree National Park, the Palmetto Trailhead, Peachtree Rock, and Columbia, SC. Charleston and Charlotte are just over an hours drive. We're 15 minutes from NOMA district, 5 Point and the Vista which all offer incredible eateries, coffee shops and breweries. Ask me and I'm happy to guide you to amazing destinations. Camping is available for tents, cars and vans. WE offer dry camping for trail travels under 25' (NO HOOKUPS), however if you need too dump, Camping World is just down i26 and offers dumping for Good Sam members. The Barnyard on US1 offers dumping for a nominal fee. No dumping is allowed on the property of WHNR. Enjoy this 1 acre property that is right on the beautiful Edisto River. Set up an air mattress in the screened room underneath the house, bring your tent or for an additional charge use one of ours. Launch your jon boat from our ramp, swim from our floating dock, take a trip with our kayaks and canoe, sit around the fire pit, lay in the hammock, take in the beautiful sunset, and play some of the outdoor games (like corn hole) that are provided. We even have an outdoor TV! There is a toilet and sink available as well as an outdoor shower. You can also use the hose and there is an electrical outlet available. Dogs are welcome, but must remain in your control as we do have neighbors. We actually have a small fenced dog area if you need it.

Hickory Hollow

There are many animals you can enjoy petting and feeding such as 20 chicken's, a goose, 3 horses, 2 rabbits, 12 goats, and 2 baby goats which are called kids. You can even bring your your horses along and keep them in one of our 1 acre fenced in fields with lots of trees and a water trough to keep them cool in the heat. You can trail ride and hike in about 120 acres of woods with streams, bridges, and some 12-18in natural made jumps. We also have a pond that you can swim, kayak, and go swimming in with your horse.
