Big Sky Camp is on 23 acres of mixed fields and woods, which overlooks a valley with beautiful sunsets. The campsite is tucked away a half mile from the main road via a drivable trail perfect if you want to unplug from your busy schedule. The campsite includes a fire pit with removal iron grill, picnic table, storage shed with yard games and lawn chairs, a horse shoe pit, newly remodeled outhouse, and new for 2022 access to a hot outdoor shower stall. First night includes free wood. Hiking trails are nearby. The nearby town of Arcade offers a steam engine excursion, restaurants, and shops. Letchworth State Park and Knox Farm State Park are within a thirty minute drive. Our campsite is very quiet and secluded. We camp here ourselves.

There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others Minutes away from Stony Brook Creek, Letchworth State Park, Silver Lake, Silver Springs MX track , Walmart, Tim Hortons, wiscoy falls, multiple restaurants, and stores. Farm encompasses a mature hardwood forest, large organic vegetable garden, pollinator gardens, plant nursery, fruit and nut trees and shrubs. A diverse population of wild birds visit and nest here, including our summer pond resident green heron. A creek with waterfall runs through the property. Cabin is on the edge of a tree-lined pond. Host will meet with you upon arrival to give overview of land layout. We live and work here, but will respect your privacy and space. We ask that you please do the same, which includes all the living inhabitants here. We are in farm country, so at times there may be tractors, manure spreading, mowing, etc. in nearby fields. While the farm is no longer operational, the majestic old apple trees are a highlight, boasting beautiful blossoms in spring and emitting a delightful aroma in autumn. Conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from Letchworth State Park, 15 minutes from Six Flags Darien Lake Theme Park, and about 20 minutes from Batavia and Warsaw, our farm offers easy access to a variety of attractions. Just 5 minutes away in the Village of Attica, you'll find a large park featuring a walking path, expansive playground, dog park, basketball court, splash pad, and pavilions. Our property features a sprawling open field at the base of a gentle hill, with additional farm fields and acres of woods atop the hill. The campsites are nestled along the edge of a hedgerow and into a wooded walking path, providing shelter from the wind. For your convenience, two port-a-johns are located within walking distance of the tents, and we supply fire pits and firewood. During your stay, you'll likely interact with Stephen, our primary host. Originally 100 acres was purchased by the Deering family back in the 1800's from the Holland Land company. Then sometime near 1900 the farm was split between two brothers, each receiving 50 acres. The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada. Great location for winter sports just 20 minutes from the newly renovated and reopened Cockaigne ski resort, and it’s just miles from access to marked snow mobile trails. Mud room makes it easy to shed and store boots and jackets. Spring time activities includes “March maple syrup madness” and exploring the Amish communities of Chautauqua county. For summertime it is just minutes to the Lake Erie shoreline and Dunkirk harbor for aquatic activities. In the Fall you cannot beat the canopy of colors. There are 3 wonderful wineries within 5 miles of your door, bring a bottle home and enjoy it by an outdoor campfire, or just sit on the patio and look up at the night sky. In the morning you can make your coffee by the cup, or carafe then sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. Major department and food stores are just minutes away. Come stay for a day and you will end up wanting to stay for more, a minimum 3 day 2 night stay is recommended.

Relax and enjoy a bit of rural life at our campsite overlooking farm fields and wooded hillsides. Our backyard is narrow, but long, so the campsite is approximately 100 yards away from the house, giving the guest privacy and a sense of solitude. The property enjoys plenty of sunshine all day long and beautiful sky views of the sunset and stars. We are located approximately 40 minutes away from Letchworth State Park, 15 minutes away from Six Flags Darien Lake Theme Park, and 20 minutes away from Batavia and Warsaw. Just a few minutes down the road in the village of Attica is a large park with a walking path, playground, splash park, dog park, basketball court, and shelters. The village also has three gas stations, a Tops grocery store, and several restaurants ranging from Burger King to the local golf course; feel free to ask us for other bar and restaurant suggestions! While staying on our property, you will be interacting with Stephen and Allison for your immediate needs. During the warm months, we spend a lot of time outside with our two little boys in the yard area immediately surrounding our house. You may also be visited by the school-aged neighborhood boys who won't cause any trouble but do like to chat! We provide four chairs, a fire ring, and firewood; there is no dedicated toilet, but there may be limited access to the bathroom in our house for a shower if we are at home and available. Please be aware, on the opposite side of the farm fields are other residential backyards.

Since there's not any tree coverage we recommend bringing a tarp to cover anything you want to keep dry incase of unexpected weather. You'll have less than a mile walk to the trail heads of Letchworth State Park, the Finger Lakes Trail and the Genesee Valley Greenway. Stony Brook is just 28 minutes away and the start of the finger lakes region is about 30 minutes! We run a small farm stand in front of our house with fresh produce, baked goods and local goodies! If you're looking for a yummy sit down meal after a long day of hiking Whistling Farmers pub is a great farm to table restaurant at the local golf course located 1.7 miles from the property. Also about a mile away is the areas best ice cream parlor! If you're looking for a good place to swim please reach out and I will pin it on a map for you!
