Explore Santa Barbara-area beaches with an RV camping trip through Goleta.
This seaside community just west of Santa Barbara is a fantastic spot for RVers wanting to get a feel for recent history in the area thanks to its well-preserved residential architecture dating back to the late 19th century. RV camping is available year-round at nearby El Capitán State Beach, a favorite among surfers, and at Carpinteria State Beach, which has both standard campgrounds and an RV-only loop at its Santa Rosa Campground. Refugio State Beach is another good choice for RV camping, particularly if you want to camp right by the shore. If you'd rather be away from the coastal crowds, head inland to Los Padres National Forest or head to an RV-friendly Hipcamp nearby, almost all of which only host one group of campers at a time but offer amenities like hookups, wifi, and bathrooms.
