Enjoy the peace and quiet of country living less than 5 minutes from Mitchell's Bay. Sites feature gravel driveways, 50-amp hydro hook-ups, water and sewer connections. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring; firewood can be purchased on site.

Take a leisurely walk or bike ride along the Mitchell's Bay trail from Angler Line to Bass Haven, enjoying the beauty of Lake St. Clair. Alternatively, spend your days fishing and swimming in any one of the holes on Lake St. Clair. A public boat launch and public beach are both less than 5 minutes away. You're just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet with as few distractions as possible when it's time to kick back and relax.

Our site welcomes small caravans and offers convenient amenities, including electricity (with 30-amp service), a water spigot, a shared propane BBQ, and access to a bathroom located in the garage. Whether you're here for migration season or a weekend of wine and relaxation, this is a perfect base for your Lake Erie getaway.

Pelee Island Hideaway

1/2 acre on Canada's most southern inhabited island. Property has large mature trees and open grass area.  Lot can easily accommodate different size rv's or come pitch a tent. Public beach is only a couple minutes walk away.  Pelee Island is a like a natural reserve which contains some of Canada's rarest plants and animals. lots of birds, snakes and even if you're lucky you'll  see a colony of pelicans. You could easily mistaken that you were in the Carolinas.

Couples Island Campsite - Lake Erie

Enjoy 'Volnost' ("Freedom"), your own private property amongst the trees, not visible from the road.  The vibe, mystique and nature around you will provide the options of hiking amongst the savannah and wetlands, biking along the lake, swims in warm shallow water, a clear view of sunrise, sunset, the stars, of over 250 species of birds, see the beautiful vineyards, tour a winery, enjoy restaurants, ice cream shops, arts & music scene and fishing.  Or, just quietly "Zen out" amongst nature not found anywhere else in the world on this ecologically unique, most southern inhabited island in Ontario, Canada.  Steps to the most beautiful, clean, shallow, sandy beach.

You can rent golf carts, bicycles, e-bikes, take a winery tour and ruins, boat tour, visit the Butterfly Sanctuary, museum, mini-put and more!  

Included in your stay are amenities to enhance your experience: a picnic table, fire pit, supply of potable water, and a new private outdoor bathroom for convenience. Additionally, we provide some campfire wood to kickstart your evening gatherings around the 36" fire ring. Just a brief 3-minute stroll from the property, you'll find a small sandy beach perfect for cooling off, while Pelee Island's premier East Beach, a larger public beach, is a leisurely 9-minute walk down the road.

Accessing the island is easy—simply walk, bike, or drive onto the ferry. The ferry ride itself is a memorable experience, offering captivating east and west views. Remember to book your ferry reservation in advance to ensure a smooth journey.

Nature and Nurture Farm

Our 130 acre property is currently an organic heirloom vegetable seed farm that is only 12 minutes from Ann Arbor. We've converted this former conventional agricultural land to a beautiful oasis of Certified Organic seed production and homesteading. The rolling land is 1/2 forest/wetlands and 1/2 fields, making it a biodiverse hot spot for plants, animals, and fungi. Nature abounds at Nature and Nurture Farm so come enjoy our private camping spots.

Learn more about this land:Set up your tent on the spacious property,  enjoy sitting next to the large bonfire pit, and wake up to the beautiful sounds of nature.  There is plenty of sight seeing on the gorgeous wetlands. The Lefurge nature center is just across the street which offers hiking and photo taking opportunities. It is ten minutes from historic depot town Ypsilanti, the Matthai Botanical Gardens, and EMU's football stadium.

Beautiful Lake Shawood Sanctuary

Beautiful camping experience on our little slice of heaven. Lake Shawood is a beautiful, natural spring-fed, non-motorized lake that primarily borders the City of Novi's exquisite Lakeshore Park. Lakeshore Park has everything from playgrounds for very young children and older children, to picnic pavillions and a sandy beach, and miles of hiking, running, and biking trails. 

We fell in love with this property the second we walked behind the old cottage.

I love nature and being outdoors, especially hiking and biking. We are still making improvements on the land with a small garden, which you are welcome to enjoy during your stay. Our big-picture vision is to renovate the old cottage and live in it.

This property is about 1/3 of an acre and has 1 large old oak tree and garden beds with flowers, herbs, and vegetables. (You can help yourself to any of the fruits or vegetables that are ripe)

We are on an old smaller home/cottage-style small residential street. Please keep in mind, that this is a spot for family and friend fun with the awareness of keeping it a sanctuary space for the neighbors as well. 

Enchanting Lakefront Camping Site

Pitch your tent and bring your family and children to our exquisitely beautiful site. The property sits on Shawood Lake, a non-motorized private waterfront site. There’s plenty of room to park your car, pitch a tent, enjoy a campfire, and the beauty of all types of birds (swans, geese, ospreys, and the occasional bald eagle), and animal life. The sunsets in this area are breathtaking.

Take a short 30-second walk and enjoy Pavilion Shore Park, a family-oriented park with a playground, swimming, fishing pier, and waterfront seating of Walled Lake. You’ll also find public restrooms which are open until 10 pm through the summer and a restaurant across the street.

We also have a portable camping toilet with a nice pop-up tent for privacy. 

Lakeshore Park is a 5-minute walk, an 11-acre park with volleyball, swimming, bike, and hiking trails (more than 10 miles of mountain biking and multi-purpose trails), horseshoe pits, BBQs, picnic shelters, and play structures.
