We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden. A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Like most folks who’ve been bitten by the water ski bug, I dreamed of having my own lake and when I met my life partner Harald, an elite slalom skier, my search began in earnest. By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Come enjoy the peaceful tranquility of our rustic little Shack on the 113 acre farm of rolling hills + open fields set by the edge of the forest. Previously used as the hot chocolate shack for our tree farm business which has finished after a 30 year run. The Shack is completely "OFF GRID" and you can get a feel for staying amongst the sounds of nature and possibly find yourself shutting off your phone and really enjoying the quiet peaceful escape. Sitting by a bon-fire at night, with the stars bright in the dark sky. Enjoying a good book or a walk on the property looking out for Wild Turkey's, Coyotes, Raccoons, Ground hogs and a variety of Bird's. Take an evening walk to the top of the hill to catch a beautiful farm sunset over the corn fields. Local businesses nearby are Brooks Farm Playground and Market 2 min up the road. Rose Family Farm with fresh cut fries 4 min away. Musselman's Lake is a 6 min drive to enjoy the fabulous Fishbone on the Lake, casual outdoor dining. In nearby Stouffville find Timber Creek Mini Golf, Gallucci Winery, Willow Springs Winery + Tree top trekking at Bruce's Mill. With many hiking trails in the area including Eldred King Woodlands, Vivian forest Trails, Durham Regional Forest and almost directly across the road and slightly south of our property new York Region Forest walking/hiking trails can be accessed. Nearby restaurants in Ballantrae. In the quaint little town of Mt. Albert 5 min with an LCBO in it open till 8pm daily. Ballantrae Ultramar 6 min away also has an LCBO open till 11 pm daily. Uxbridge is nearby and a large variety of restaurants and shopping Lots to check out in the area, or simply stay put at The Shack and enjoy cooking a meal on the BBQ in the outdoor kitchen area (propane included) and relaxing by the bonfire (wood included). The Shack is equipped with some cooking items, pots + pans, BBQ and utensils, knives, cutlery, plates, coffee cups, bowls, glasses + (wine glasses) cutting board, tray, kettle and a small chest cooler to keep your food and drinks cold (you will need to bring the ice) Dish washing rack is provided, as well as large jugs of clean potable water for cooking/drinking and doing the dishes. Please bring your garbage bags! Extra cooler is also provided. The Shack sleeps 3 people comfortably, with 2 bunks and 1 single size sofa-bed. Pillows and Bedding ARE NOT included. Weekend Trip to Forest Cabin
The forest cabin was everything I’d hope for and more. I wanted a place to get away and reconnect with nature and that’s exactly what I got out of my stay. I went for hikes through the property, got to play with the sheep and the dogs! And like others have said in their reviews, by far the best outhouse I’ve ever soon! I would 100% recommend staying here! I’ll be back to check it out in the spring or summer!

We didn't end up going to the location after booking it for a night because of snow but Nancy was flexible enough to provide us refund. She from her own told us its ok if you don't come over even on the day of the booking. This shows that she has some values. We will try and go over to her location anytime soon. Nancy is a great host.

Melanie & Ryan were fantastic hosts! They were kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The place is beautiful, and the lights make it magical and easy to navigate around at night. The yurt was gorgeous. My friend and I visited at the end of October, so it got very cold at night. However, the mattress heating pad worked wonders, and Melanie was incredibly kind to offer us additional bedding. Thank you for a great glamping experience!

Everdale is a special place! The straw cabin is simple, comfortable and so quiet! I felt safe as a person going there solo and walked their well loved and cared for land extensively. It was an education as well in that they have a regenerative farm. Being a long time gardener myself, it was interesting to read the sign posts on my walk explaining different aspects of regenerative farming and the lands ecology. I'll definitely come back and in the colder months, be sure you're comfortable keeping the woodstove going, you may need to split wood, etc. Also, being solar powered, if it's a cloudy day, the lights may go off early. I was glad I brought a battery operated lamp. Great place, great feeling there.!

Wow! We came in mid October to see the autumn colors. What a great experience! First off the hosts are amazing and very helpful. The lodge itself is very comfy, the bed is super clean and comfy as well. There's enough firewood for the whole stay (2 Nights). Oh and our dog loved it as well! The place is around 20 min drive away from any nature hike, and there are plenty in the area. Highly reccomend
