Our beautiful property is located on 70 acres and has 1000m of river front on the Loddon River 3km down Newbridge Maldon Road from Bridgewater. There is an IGA supermarket nearby in Inglewood, which is 11km away, and the Bridgewater pub and bakery are located 3km away. Both world-renowned feeds. The place consists of privacy, use of kayaks and safety gear, fishing rods, boat ramp, and a lovely getaway for a couple or family. We've also recently added a basketball court, beach volleyball, mini football oval and soccer goals. Lots to do! Come here to enjoy the peace, and six meters of clean clear water at your camp door if you please. Fire pits are provided and we offer firewood for sale if needed, outside of fire-ban season - No firewood is to be taken from the property unless paid for. This is a unique camp experience. All we ask is you leave the place as you found it. The stars in the night sky are second to none, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do. IMPORTANT: We do not offer toilet facilities, so all campers MUST be self-contained, and take all waste with them. In order to protect the fragile river system, strictly no dumping of waste or greywater on the property. Waterski boats are strictly prohibited. We require at least 12 hours notice before your stay, but if you do need a last-minute spot, please feel free to send us an enquiry and we may be able to accommodate you. Whilst pets are welcome, please inform us prior to booking if you are planning to bring pets along. We kindly ask that you keep them at your site as do not want to upset other guests with barking dogs, and wish to protect our wildlife.

We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities.Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gumtrees with drinking water, toilet (no shower), rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Flat camp sites available a stones throw away from the Campaspe River which flows all year round. The O'Keef Rail Trail is close by and very popular for walking and bike riding. You will find seasonal fruit trees among the camp sites which can be eaten at your leisure. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Just a short stroll up the road you will find Axedale Tavern for a tasty meal or a cold beer and a newly opened cafe (Rise and Grind) that have delicious coffee and food to go. There is a service station between the two as well as a general store. 11km away you have Lake Eppalock that’s great for skiing/fishing and swimming locations for the whole family. No fresh water or power available and rubbish must be taken with you. Fires only permitted in season and in fire pits, some wood can be provided.

Metcalfe's rural landscape still remains largely untouched, giving a real feeling of freedom and fresh air, filled with wildlife and sensational scenic adventures to enjoy, like the stunning cascades just up the road. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

A lovely almost 1-acre block. Some clear spaces. Lots of shade too. Bordering with a public reserve with public toilets, (You have your own on site Loo) you have town water and lots of private space. Plenty of parking. Private gate entry to the river reserve. An enclosed cabin with a queen bed with hot water and shower is available. BBQ and private outdoor bath for relaxing in. Solar power to recharge your phone as well as a generator for ancillaries like hair dryers etc. All only 50 meters from the Loddon River and boat and canoe ramp. Very comfy queen bed. So bring a caravan or tent or use the cabin. Up to you! You need to bring your own petrol for Generator, Toilet Paper, Linen or sleeping bag and firewood. 10 Mins from Newbridge (Pub with great Meals and general Store) and 15 mins from Dunolly and historic Maldon for fuel with main amenities (Bank, Supermarket, Pub and Chemist etc etc). Why camp with everyone else, when you can have this space to yourself with your cars, caravans and some of the creature comforts of home.

There is an olive grove too. We have resident wildlife including echidnas, goannas and "Wally" the Wallaby. We're located a 2 min drive from Lake Laanecoorie which is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and walking. Plenty of great places for road cycling and mounting biking too. This campsite suits self-sufficient campers who bring their own toilet/shower facilities, water and power supplies. There is tank water available for washing hands etc (but it is not potable). Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The Laanecoorie region has many attractions to offer including Melville Caves, named after bushranger Captain Melville (the local folktales state that his gold is still buried in the area!), the Loddon Miniature Steam Locomotive Society displays (4th Sunday of each month), weekend markets and wineries. The canoe trail on the river and lake is a must!
