Redbank farm has been home to five generations of Superfine Merino wool Farmers. The charming homestead is set on 1000 acres of rolling hills, lush trees, and dams that offer plentiful grazing to sheep and cattle. Metcalfe's rural landscape still remains largely untouched, giving a real feeling of freedom and fresh air, filled with wildlife and sensational scenic adventures to enjoy, like the stunning cascades just up the road. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Welcome to Somerville Park, a 500 acre sheep farm at Fosterville. There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. Fires are permitted out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast.

There are public toilet facilities and park areas where you can access a BBQ if required. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Our 20 acre property is home to lots of birdlife including many little swallows. The campsite is open, grassy land with large eucalypts, bottle-brushes and other native trees. There is an olive grove too. We have resident wildlife including echidnas, goannas and "Wally" the Wallaby. We're located a 2 min drive from Lake Laanecoorie which is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and walking. Plenty of great places for road cycling and mounting biking too. This campsite suits self-sufficient campers who bring their own toilet/shower facilities, water and power supplies. There is tank water available for washing hands etc (but it is not potable). Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The Laanecoorie region has many attractions to offer including Melville Caves, named after bushranger Captain Melville (the local folktales state that his gold is still buried in the area!), the Loddon Miniature Steam Locomotive Society displays (4th Sunday of each month), weekend markets and wineries. The canoe trail on the river and lake is a must!

There are over 20 vineyards and wineries in the region, including Balgownie Estate, Black Wallaby Wines, Blackjack Wines and Connor Park Winery with most wineries run by the families who founded them. There are plenty of opportunities for prospecting in the area, the region has been famous for gold for over 150 years. Visit the Coitek Gold Centre in Maryborough for special maps suggesting areas most likely to produce nuggets, or book a tour while your there to learn the art of detecting with an expert. A 4 KW easy start (Very large) Generator if power is needed for hairdryers etc. It is also needed to run the spa pump in the outside bath. *To run the Spa pump the generator is needed, Otherwise everything else is on Gas which is supplied. A lovely almost 1-acre block. Some clear spaces. Lots of shade too. Bordering with a public reserve with public toilets, (You have your own on site Loo) you have town water and lots of private space. Plenty of parking. Private gate entry to the river reserve. An enclosed cabin with a queen bed with hot water and shower is available. BBQ and private outdoor bath for relaxing in. Solar power to recharge your phone as well as a generator for ancillaries like hair dryers etc. All only 50 meters from the Loddon River and boat and canoe ramp. Very comfy queen bed. So bring a caravan or tent or use the cabin. Up to you! You need to bring your own petrol for Generator, Toilet Paper, Linen or sleeping bag and firewood. 10 Mins from Newbridge (Pub with great Meals and general Store) and 15 mins from Dunolly and historic Maldon for fuel with main amenities (Bank, Supermarket, Pub and Chemist etc etc). Why camp with everyone else, when you can have this space to yourself with your cars, caravans and some of the creature comforts of home.
