It's a convenient and comfortable base camp location to explore this beautiful region. You'll be only 400 meters walking distance to the town centre and 50 meters from the cycling/walking tracks. Power and town water is available. There is a fire pit, with seating. And we are dog-friendly! We do ask however that all guests be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and kindly take all waste when you go. Please enjoy your stay.

Our private, riverfront secluded campsites are large and clean. All 6 sites are riverfront. They are relatively flat, level grass/dirt areas with gum trees peppered throughout the site for shade in summer. We can accommodate any type and size of camping vehicle and 2WDs. Park your caravan or pitch a tent and relax. For fishing and watersport enthusiasts there is access to a boat ramp. From camp there is sloping bank access to the water, steeper in some parts. Guests will have access to a toilet, fire drums and cut your own firewood is available. Please read the Campground conditions of entry: VERY IMPORTANT- this campground features River Gum Trees. Take care when choosing where to park and camp. Always look up and do not park or camp under overhanging branches, assess the site first. River gums can drop branches without warning. We will not be held responsible for loss, damage or injury from trees falling it is an act of nature not of negligence. Your site assessment and safety is first and foremost, and please if, you’re not happy with the safety of area please let us know, all monies will be returned to you. We cannot tell when or if a limb may fall from a tree, it can be caused by heat, wind, lightning, rain or age. - Access time after 1pm, and Depart time before 11am, unless organised with manager/owner. Ellesmere Park Farm Stay was inspired by our trip following the stock routes of NSW by horse drawn vehicles. Major objects of the charity related to this site are soil improvement and growing trees, trees and more trees to counter climate change. The property is located between the two pleasant towns of Murchison and Rushworth, practically on Lake Waranga. The sites are large, grassy and flat and are very easy to access. The camping/van parking spot is a quiet and pleasant place. Lake Waranga is within easy walking distance and has plenty of great fishing, boating and swimming available for you to enjoy. The southern boundary of the property links up with the Murchison - Rushworth Rail Trail which is a lovely spot to bike ride or walk. We are only 10 minutes from the historical gold mining town of Rushworth. Our site is also a fantastic spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and star gazing. With minimal light pollution, it would the perfect spot to set up a telescope and look at the night sky. The hosts are passionate about composting and request campers to compost their food scraps in the bins provided at the corner of the security compound area. Please take care to compost the correct items only and add grass, hay or straw to make layers between food scraps to ensure the compost system runs successfully. We will negotiate the supply of water to fill the tanks of your caravan; clean rainwater has been harvested from a new roof into a new tank but cannot guarantee this to be safe drinking water. Camp fires are permitted within the CFA rules which means that a camp fire is allowed for cooking and / or comfort purposes - providing that a total fire ban has not been declared. Please keep camp fires small and well contained. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to protect the native wildlife.

The Murray River is a walk away so bushwalking is as easy as putting your boots on. While we do not provide amenities we do provide a vista that is hard to find. Botanical rare flora and fauna are found on these Sandhills. We have ancient sandalwood trees, remnant Murray Pines, huge eucalyptus trees and myrtle bushes. This country is of The Wolithica clan of the Yorta Yorta nation and is steeped in cultural history. Scar trees, maddens and more. Echidna and wallabies, eagles and sand ridge birds abound.We ask that you leave only your footprints and to know that if you don’t bring it with you it’s not here.The towns of Echuca and Gunbower are not far away And provide culinary delights, paddle steamer rides and lots of activities for visitors. If you want you can just chillax and rewild your senses right here on the lagoon or you can go find adventure close by. Riverside wineries, gourmet food, hire a kayak, go boating or feel the history of the river on board a paddle steamer.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.
