There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. WD Heritage Acres is a place steeped in history and charm, dating back to 1880 when the homestead was first established. Over the years, the property has undergone thoughtful restoration to preserve its timeless beauty. The homestead, originally built in 1880 and expanded in 1904, stands as a testament to a bygone era. Surrounding it, you'll find a traditional garden that reflects the heritage of the property. Our small farm is home to a lovely herd of Angus cattle and a flock of cheerful chooks, as well as numerous other friendly pets. The historic ambiance extends beyond the homestead to our property's unique buildings. These include an 1880 log cabin blacksmith shop, an 1880 log cabin fowl house, a 1904 workers' cottage, and a 1904 shearing shed. As you immerse yourself in the past, we invite you to bring the present with you. Guests should be self-contained with their own toilet and shower facilities. Major objects of the charity related to this site are soil improvement and growing trees, trees and more trees to counter climate change. The property is located between the two pleasant towns of Murchison and Rushworth, practically on Lake Waranga. The sites are large, grassy and flat and are very easy to access. The camping/van parking spot is a quiet and pleasant place. Lake Waranga is within easy walking distance and has plenty of great fishing, boating and swimming available for you to enjoy. The southern boundary of the property links up with the Murchison - Rushworth Rail Trail which is a lovely spot to bike ride or walk. We are only 10 minutes from the historical gold mining town of Rushworth. Our site is also a fantastic spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and star gazing. With minimal light pollution, it would the perfect spot to set up a telescope and look at the night sky. The hosts are passionate about composting and request campers to compost their food scraps in the bins provided at the corner of the security compound area. Please take care to compost the correct items only and add grass, hay or straw to make layers between food scraps to ensure the compost system runs successfully. We will negotiate the supply of water to fill the tanks of your caravan; clean rainwater has been harvested from a new roof into a new tank but cannot guarantee this to be safe drinking water. Camp fires are permitted within the CFA rules which means that a camp fire is allowed for cooking and / or comfort purposes - providing that a total fire ban has not been declared. Please keep camp fires small and well contained. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to protect the native wildlife.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

It's a popular tourist destination with plenty of tourist activities such as golf courses, wineries, restaurants.

Four sites can be accessed with a 4wd and can fit off road vans and camper trailers and have river views The horse camp can fit large horse floats/vans Activies include hiking/fishing/boating/canoeing/push bike riding/horse riding/ swimming /bird watching in the lagoons and you are welcome to watch or participate in any sheep work happening in your stay. A four wheel drive is recommended for all sites atm All camps have a fire pit /fire wood and trash cans provided. No toilets are provided.

Eden Farm Victoria

Eden Farm is nestled on the Broken Creek near Numurkah, a lovely 25 minutes drive north of Shepparton up near the pristine Murray River in Victoria, Australia. The farm is fully powered by solar and is a busy, sustainable, biodynamically-certified farm with Maine-Anjou/short-horn cattle that are grass fed, well natured, calm and muscular animals. In addition to growing prime biodynamic beef, Katherina and Gary Baker of Eden Farm also grow vegetables, fruit, olives, sunflowers, crops, spring flowers, corn and have various friendly care animals including rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens and milking cows that are used across the social enterprise, Eden Farm Wellness. The animals are friendly and even the bull, Tas, delights in having his neck rubbed ’til the cows come home. The Bakers are also building a bush café on the property from local red gum, as well as up-cycled and recycled materials including 80+ year old lining boards, ash wood and corrugated iron.

Our property is located at Torrumbarry, very close, (3 minute walk) to the Murray River. It is a beautiful bush setting with plenty of shade, privacy and flat easy access that is perfect for all camping including tents, camper trailers, camper vans and caravans. There are no set sites as such, you may choose your own camping spot in the bush setting. Enjoy your favourite water activities, swimming, kayaking, fishing or boating. Bike rides and walks along the river. Or just enjoy the bush setting. We are within easy reach of the Torrumbarry boat ramp. Camp fires are allowed in fire drums which are available and fire wood is available in $15 lots. Text Julie for delivery. You may bring your own wood. A toilet and shower is available. A hot shower is $2. An honesty box is located on the shower for your shower money. Please, take your rubbish waste with you. Pets are welcome, but must be under control at all times.
