All camping is to be set up on right hand side of road allowing all other activities on the river reserve. A 20 minute drive to the beautiful beachers of, Yamba, Iluka and Brooms Head. Campers can enjoy world heritage rainforests or fish, swim, kayak, SUP, jet ski, all at the front door. Access to public boat ramp approx. 800 m.A 5 minute boat ride to, pubs, restaurants and shops, or local pub offers a courtesy bus.Campers will love the relaxed atmosphere of camping, with all the conveniences of being close to costal towns.Dog friendly. We have our work cut out for us restoring the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion and the surrounding bush after years of logging and cattle grazing. We welcome you to have a fire, beers and explore as you wish. We are an easy going couple with no kids or pets, happy to leave you to it or show you around.

Southgate Grafton on the Clarence

The large and grassy campsites are located on the banks of the Clarence River where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing and jet skiing. Guests staying with us are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campers can launch a boat from the property to enjoy all the river has to offer. You can drive the boat to the Ulmarra Hotel nearby, they have a jetty where you can park and enjoy a feed and a drink. You also can take the Ulmarra Ferry and Drive to the Ulmarra Hotel for dinner or lunch. You can access the property via road from Grafton or via Ferry from Lawrence and Maclean. We are located just 11kms from Grafton should you need any supplies. Please note, caravans are not permitted on the Ferry but camper trailers are okay. We farm Hay on the property and do have some friendly cattle around who may wander past to say hello. Campfires are permitted outside of fire restrictions. Sorry, no pets.

There is a nature playground for the kids, an outdoor bathtub (book with us after you have booked your site $45 or book as a 'camp site'), wood-fired pizza oven (book in the 'extras') and a well equiped community kitchen. All of our loving animals have been rescued as a tiny baby or taken in when their owners could no longer care for them. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit and you can book a camp oven package if you would like to engage in some outdoor cooking. It's fun, relaxing and nothing beats a camp oven stew! Our community kitchen is a hub for get togethers and yarns, well equipped with a gas cooktop, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, a BBQ, fridge/freezer, and plenty of tables. There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but no showers yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. Take your time here to explore our conservation property which has plenty of native flora and fauna to discover then head next door to the Glenugie State Forest which is a good place to hike, mountain bike, 4WD, hunt and bird watch. We live on site and will be in and out working on the property. As builders who love to use recycled items, we have made some pretty fun and interesting composting toilets and bathrooms for you to use and enjoy. We have our work cut out for us restoring the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion and the surrounding bush after years of logging and cattle grazing. We welcome you to have a fire, beers and explore as you wish. We are an easy going couple with no kids or pets, happy to leave you to it or show you around.

Southgate Grafton on the Clarence

The large and grassy campsites are located on the banks of the Clarence River where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing and jet skiing. Guests staying with us are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campers can launch a boat from the property to enjoy all the river has to offer. You can drive the boat to the Ulmarra Hotel nearby, they have a jetty where you can park and enjoy a feed and a drink. You also can take the Ulmarra Ferry and Drive to the Ulmarra Hotel for dinner or lunch. You can access the property via road from Grafton or via Ferry from Lawrence and Maclean. We are located just 11kms from Grafton should you need any supplies. Please note, caravans are not permitted on the Ferry but camper trailers are okay. We farm Hay on the property and do have some friendly cattle around who may wander past to say hello. Campfires are permitted outside of fire restrictions. Sorry, no pets.
