Come and checkout this bucolic forest farm and woodland with streams running through, a swimming pond and grassland filled with wild flowers. Every morning you'll hear the rushing water from the brook and our rooster and song birds waking you every morning. Our campsites are surrounded by mountain laurel and rhododendron nestled between giant pine and oak trees.

Site 1: Closest to the parking area. Great views of the brook. Can fit an 8-person tent.

We had a wonderful stay at enchanted encampments. We stayed at site one which is closest to parking and made breakdown/set up easy.. This site had a flushable camp toilet and bag of water with nozzle. These are camping luxuries in my eyes and I was so thankful late at night not to have to wonder the woods. Our hosts were very friendly and showed us to our site. They were very responsive with questions, and even let us borrow some dvds for our projector when we realized we forgot to pack them. I would recommend getting a dozen eggs as an add on, one less thing to pack and nothing beats fresh eggs! Even though we saw a few campers head to different sites, the path they take isn't to close to your site so it felt private enough. Overall it was a great weekend, and I have a feeling we will be booking again next spring.

It was a lovely relaxing time to unplug and escape. We pretty much hunkered down in our campsite, with occasional visits to see the little farm animal friends. Saori and Josh were helpful with any questions we had, but they pretty much had us all set up for success from the get go. Would likely camp here again!

We stayed at site 2 and it was lovely and private, and the sounds of the bubbling creek were so relaxing. It's a little walk from the parking spot so be prepared to carry things. But a nice woodsy walk. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and helpful.

Saori and Josh were great hosts! They were available and kind and Saori was happy to answer all my nosy questions about the farm. We stayed at campsite 1 which was closest to the parking and overlooks the stream. It was lovely falling asleep to water sounds and easy to grab stuff from the car. I’ll definitely come back here!

We were in the area to meet with some friends on our way back to NYC and we thought it would be cool to take our son to visit a farm. We found Saori and Josh's farm where we learned about animal husbandry and permaculture and we ended up staying so long and having such a good time that we decided to spend the night and head home early the next day.

We chose Site 2, which was a really nice secluded spot just over a river a couple minutes away from parking. The sound of the river was great to fall asleep to. Saori and Josh were extremely helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. At one point, as we were getting settled in, I noticed that the area we wanted to put our tent had a couple rocks close to the surface of the ground. So I brought it up with our hosts and they came down and smashed the rocks, removed them, and laid down a fresh bedding of mulch and hay. I don't know if you could get service that good in a hotel.

A fair bit of warning if you find yourself in the area late on a weekday. A lot of restaurants close pretty early. Most people bring their own stuff but because this was impromptu, we ran into that, but once again Saori and Josh came to the rescue. They made us pizza with duck eggs and bacon! It was amazing.

We couldn't be happier with the experience. This wasn't our initial plan, but I have a feeling we'll be coming back again and maybe again.

Hello Fellow HipCampers!

Honestly, I could do a glowing podcast about the wonderful time my friends and I had staying at Huckleberry Farms aka Enchanted Encampments! What a vibrant farm and serene setting to spend the weekend.

Saori and her partner Josh were consistently attentive to our needs as campers with information about local events, festivals, activities such as horseback riding and hiking, and other opportunities in the area whenever we inquired.

We had some car issues getting there so we arrived well after sunset (almost 9pm) and they were both so helpful and understanding, out there with flashlights and a wheel barrel to assist us in getting our camping gear to the site.

The camp site (#2) although uneven and hilly, was a beautiful secluded spot overlooking a river that was wonderful to watch from my hammock!

10/10 would stay again without hesitation!

Thank you Saori & Josh!

Just Relaxin' & Swayin' while enjoying the RiverWatching the powerful River flow!

While the site and farm has potential, we were ultimately disappointed with our stay. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts who were passionate about animal husbandry, and they were very responsive before and during our stay. The area was bucolic yet still close to civilization.

For background, we are all experienced campers, from backpacking to car camping. We know to expect variations in HipCamp sites. That said, we hit difficulties as soon as we arrived when we realized how far the walk was going to be. The initial description (which changed while we were there) said 2 minutes. It was a solid 5 minute walk and the path wasn’t very clear or well maintained.

The major complaint was the site itself (Site #2). The site was supposed to be able to accommodate a 10 and 4 person tent. We were hard pressed to find a spot for a 2 person tent. There were shark fin rocks hidden in the spots they laid out (covered in fresh cut grass), which was a major letdown as the view was beautiful and overlooked the brook.

It appeared to us that the area, which was now in the path on the way to their newer Tentrr site, was the original site. The suspected original site was large, flat, and hard a proper fire pit. The actual site’s fire pit was minuscule and offered no actual seating and the site itself was not level or open. We ended up staying in the suspected old site as the actual site was not usable. But that got awkward and the Tentrr guests had to walk through our space.

The Latrine itself was fine, but it was not covered and lacked any privacy since the site was now on the path to the Tentrr site. Making eye contact with a stranger while sitting on the latrine was not our favorite experience.

There was a trash container, which was nice, but it wasn’t animal proof. We didn’t have any incidents with wildlife, but we expected something more robust with such a long walk to the car.

Regarding Site 1, it was very close to where everyone had parked, and had very little privacy from those of us trekking back and forth from cars.

Ultimately, it felt like this entire site was a work in progress as the description kept changing while we were there. I hope the owners are able to address Site 2’s setup and remove the rocks and debris to create a better space as it does have potential.

We were very happy staying at Enchanted Encampments. The brook near the camp site was beautiful and the sound it made was so pleasant. The hosts were great support yet gave us plenty of space for ourselves. My children enjoyed the farm animals and Saori took the time to talk to them, teach them about the farm animals, and show them how to play horseshoes. My kids can be a little rambunctious and Saori was very patient with them. I would recommend this site to anyone. We were are very grateful that we were able to stay there.

A very nice spot! Saori was greet to work with. She even graciously offered me the option of more substantive shelter in her house should the hurricane turn our way—it didn’t, but it was nice to have the option if it had.
