Thank you to all the wonderful friends we have met through this amazing program. We regret that our community at this time does now allow for "transient" renting of property and I unknowingly was operating outside of the zoning rules and regulations of our town. Please continue to get outside and enjoy all the beautiful places and spaces this world has to offer and keep in

A natural oasis by candlewood lake
Amy and her family were very gracious and their campsite by the meadow flanked with edible landscaping was a literal treat. It was sweet to eat the berries on the path through their well cultivated native landscaping offering privacy for the lovely campsite by the meadow, replete with a picnic table and fire circle. This was a welcome natural oasis for my dog and I in what seemed to be an otherwise rigid suburban environment close to Candlewood Lake where family was gathering.
We had an amazing week-end camping at Amy's meadow.
The place is beautiful, the camp site is isolated (you don't see the house or anything else than nature), but you can still access water easily as needed. Chickens are running around happily, we ate their delicious eggs. Amy and her husband were the perfect hosts, gave us great recommendations for a hike, incredible ice cream, and the local pool. They really went above and beyond making our kids extremely happy allowing them to feed the fish, touch the turtle, play with the little kids house etc ... Fully recommended, and we will be back!
My family and I had a great time in this property. It's beautiful and spacious and close to so many neat hiking areas. The cat, chicken, ducks and birds made for an excellent little spot to go an unplug for the weekend.
Beautiful visit with kind friendly hosts. An amazing breakfast and more stars at night than could be counted. My kids loved exploring the grounds. Highly recommend for a quick renewal and escape.
Beautiful meadow, warm atmosphere
These people have a gift for hosting; we felt right at home from the moment we pulled up. The site was beautiful and well-kept. Even the cat was friendly, purring and keeping us company as we enjoyed the fire pit and sturdy picnic table. We had access to quant footpaths and a large field with room to spread out and relax. A perfect weekend!
This place was simply perfect and has a large meadow with ample space to roam. Most of all, the hosts are such welcoming and wonderful people we felt welcome. They greeted us warmly when we arrived, although it was in the late evening. They showed us around the property and we got to know the cats, chickens, and ducks. On the first morning, we also met two beautiful box turtles. Our last night we built a fire in the firepit and were able to really unwind from the stress of the week. When it was time to check out, they helped us so we could move the car closer to the site. We were very sad to go and would definitely stay here again -- here's to hoping the zoning laws change so the property can be a Hipcamp again!
