Pitch your tent or park your RV beside Holiday Hill Day Camp's "Camp Meeting" outdoor Amphitheater area. During the summer, this wooded area on the edge of our play field houses our daily after-lunch gathering where we sing songs, play goofy trivia games and laugh together. But outside our 10-week summer program we are able to offer the firepit and cleared area as a quiet spot to spend the night outdoors.
Guests are welcome to use our outdoor athletic facilities and playgrounds. Daily swimming pool memberships are available in-season. Just across the street, Mansfield Hollow State Park offers a variety of hiking, biking, running, paddling and picnicking opportunities within a short walk or a few minutes drive. Also only 5 minutes up the road is the UConn main campus, with arts, entertainment, dining, exploration and the renowned UConn Dairy Bar ice-cream stop.
Since we are a functioning 23-acre summer day camp and event facility, you might expect to share the property with an outdoor gathering, wedding, or group lodging in our Farmhouse rental on the property. If that's the case we'll contact you at the time of your booking and let you know what to expect. We're also in the process of developing 2 other Hipcamp spots on the property, all located to provide a wide buffer of privacy.

We had a lovely stay at Jesse’s camp! It was very quiet and peaceful. Restrooms were very clean. Would highly recommend going here.
And thanks Jesse for giving us a jumpstart!
Perfect site for our daughter's wedding! We parked our 40' fifth wheel at the amphitheater for 2 nights for our daughter's wedding on the grounds. Even though it is technically dry camping, there was an outlet and water spigot nearby available to use. It was really great to be able to get water and electric as needed! The site is ideally for smaller rigs, but we were able to get our big rig into the site. The road is a bit narrow and we had to drive on the grass in order to get lined up to park. But if you have a smaller rig (under 35') it will be no problem. Being on-site made it so easy to plan and organize the wedding!
The amphitheater site is right down the hill from the Lean Tos site. We had other wedding party members staying at the Lean Tos and it was so convenient to walk back and forth. But they were also far enough away that both sites had ample privacy.
Great place to camp!
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Hipcamp to every type of camper. Nice quiet spot. If you have children this would be a great spot to let them play but also great for couples or large groups. Jesse is very kind and will help you with anything you need. Picnic table, fire pits, trash cans and bathrooms available at site. Hope everyone enjoys as much as we did.
Very nice property and VERY quiet at night. I was in transit so did not do much there but the campsite is under the trees on the edge of the open athletic fields. Park right at the site. Its also up against a hill which offers wind protection from typical weather. The "men's room" (sink and toilets) is as nice as any State Park campground in the Northeast. The woods look to offer some very nice hiking too. I enjoyed my tenting stay. Jesse was very responsive to questions and updates.
Camp on property of a summer camp
A nice spot on the property of a summer camp. Firewood was provided so we could have a small campfire. Camp was closed for winter so no electricity or running water but we preferred the camp was closed so we could have a nice relaxing quiet evening. I would recommend this hipcamp.
Jesse was a joy to work with however through no fault of his own there was much too much going on with events and getting ready for day camp that I took away from the peace and quiet. He said he'd refund me half a night as I left early and have yet to receive my refund.
Great place to bring little ones
This is a great place to camp with little ones, and anytime you want a lot of space to yourself. The playgrounds, pickleball courts, and especially the tree swing were a big hit! Easy to keep kids entertained, and lots of safe spaces to play. We parents enjoyed it so much. Also lots of hiking options close by, we tried the path across the street to hike to the bridge and played by the river. Thanks for a fun entertaining getaway. We will surely be back.
