This authentic sheep wagon is located on our ranch near Nunn, CO. We have cattle, horses and chickens and the wagon is neatly nestled near our large garden. The sheep wagon has a new pillow top ( full size ) mattress, electricity, luxurious linens, extra pillows/ blankets and hand/face towels. It also come with a coffee pot, coffee/fixings, and 2 mugs. For the cool Colorado nights and warm days, it has an electric heater and a fan. The toilet and laundry sink with hot and cold water are located in the barn, a short walking distance away. The bathroom also has a mini-fridge and electricity.

Back over by the wagon, there is also a nice picnic table and 2 chairs located outside. During the warmer month there is also a shade attached to the wagon for your lounging comfort.  A fire ring is nearby, small campfires are ok as long as we don't have a fire ban in effect. We include the firewood.

Keep in mind this is an authentic piece of American West history and is not perfectly sealed from the elements, but it will absolutely keep you dry and comfortable. !

Nunn is located 30 minutes Northeast of Fort Collins, and is considered a prairie landscape, even though mountains are a short driving distance away. Living on the prairie comes with its challenges - mostly with its strong winds that we can get on occasion. Please keep this in mind.

You're welcome to walk around the ranch and view the animals, we ask that you DO NOT enter the corrals. If you happen to be here in the spring, this is when you will find new calfs! Oh so fun!!

We have some outstanding sunsets, lots of open space and plenty of fresh air. We also have fantastic mountain views to the west. Also, please keep in mind we are 4 miles on a county-maintained dirt road from the nearest paved road.

There are many things to do in this area,  just to mention a few - Lory State Park, Horsetooth Reservoir, Pawnee National Grasslands - specifically the Pawnee Buttes, Also great restaurants/brewery's in Wellington as well as many choices in Old Town Fort Collins - as well as many shops and boutiques.

We loved our stay in Shannon's wagon! The property was beautiful and all of the animals are extremely friendly and adorable. The bed was very comfortable and warm. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset, saw an eagle and a shooting star!

A beautiful, incredibly comfortable site with a great host. The spot was gorgeous, bed was impossibly comfy (especially compared to tent sleeping) and the dogs were adorable and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Shannon is a wonderful host and the wagon is so comfy and cozy! Overnight weather was in the low 30s but with the heater we stayed warm all night! Highly recommend!

We loved stopping for a night at Home On The Range. Easy to find and not too far off the beaten path and yet not too close. Hear coyotes and cows and horses from a covered wagon (Shepard’s wagon) while you comfortably nod off. We are on a road trip so our stay was brief and we loved it.

Shannon, Eric, and all the animals were wonderful hosts! The wagon was so unique and added the special touch of “different” that we were wanting on the holiday weekend! 10/10 recommended (I’m even letting all my friends know!) and I hope to come back again!

We enjoyed our stay very much! My 16 month old loves hearing the horses & cows sound off throughout the day. She was also very fond of the dogs on the property. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was such a fun experience for my daughter.
