Bliss Camp

A Rocky Mountain Glamping Experience!

Enjoy our mountain getaway in one of two unique, classy, handcrafted Gypsy Wagon Campers, The Shimza and the Sapphira. Towering rock outcroppings surround you in our private Bliss Canyon, the stream lulls you to sleep, the birds serenade you in the morning. Bliss Pond or the Heart Pool will tempt you with a bracing dip in crystal clear waters.  Explore the surrounding national forest or kick back and try some fishing or simply relaxing in camp. (See separate listing to reserve Bliss Camp in Sapphira Gypsy Wagon.)

The Shimza is 8’ x 10’ with a full-size bed for 2, complete bedding provided, counter and cabinets, lots of storage cubbies, Dutch door, table and benches which fold up to make room to sleep 2 more on a mattress on the floor (provided with bedding) or room for your dog. Solar electricity provides power for lights, and your devices. Shimza is designed and built by Dot and Byron's company, SimBLISSity Tiny Homes, a premiere Tiny Home builder.

Relax in your private backyard or head over to the shared outdoor kitchen for your personal meal prep. After your day of adventure or kicking back, enjoy a hot shower (not available when we have freezing night tempuratures). Share your revelations of the day around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or relish your favorite beverage or 4:20 treat (outdoors only please). Game of Horseshoes anyone?

Kitchen has sink, fresh, potable water, kitchenware—pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc--2 burner propane stovetop, BBQ with side burner, critter-resistant food safe, bear-proof trash can, and picnic tables outside. We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy.

There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Dot for guidance.) Several NF access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.

Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!

Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin National Park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles.Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails.   (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)

Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask for details.

Let the world melt away; there is no wifi or cell service. In the event of urgent need, come to our home up the hill and ring the bell.

The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants,  bars, library with free wifi, and many quaint shops. Estes Park, with more services, is 35 minutes.

Dot and Byron look forward to hosting you in our spectacular Rocky Mountain Paradise.

We had the absolute best time staying here! The gypsy wagon was so cozy and clean. We loved using the outdoor kitchen, as we cooled most of our meals there! We also really enjoyed exploring the property, it truly felt blissful. Highly recommend!

Bliss Camp was awesome! It is ver conveniently located within driving distance to both Boulder and Rocky Mountain National Park. The small town of Lyons is very close and had some great food and coffee.
The wagon we stayed in was very cozy and clean with plenty of storage so we didn't have to live out our backpacks. The heated shower was great after long days of hiking. There is a small creek that runs through the property that I soaked my feet in and it felt like heaven.
Dot welcomed us when we checked in and walked the property with us and explained they layout. She was constantly available when I need to communicate with her.
I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic experience! We stayed for 2 nights & really enjoyed exploring by the creek, hiking nearby, & relaxing at the site. Everything was very clean and well-organized. Dot was very friendly & had helpful tips for the area. .We would definitely recommend this to others!

We think it’d work especially well for a larger group or two families to reserve both wagons and share joint kitchen, shower, campfire area, etc.

The Bliss Camp is so fantastic that I almost don't want to write a review in fear that it will get overbooked!

Dot has made sure that every single detail of the camp makes for an enjoyable stay. Impeccable cleanliness, cozy and comfortable, fantastic gas fire group area, I could go on and on.

Do yourself a favor and stay here. It is perfect in every way imaginable and you will not forget it.
