Come camp at our family-run river rafting company basecamp. We have been in operation for 50 years as a rafting business and we are excited to share the Tuolumne River Canyon views with you during your stay! Note that if you are camping with us between May to early September, you'll be sharing the common areas with our river rafting operations. Ask us if you want to join a rafting trip!

We are located 15 minutes' driving distance from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. **Note that during the summer months, you may need to get a reservation ahead of time for day-use to go into Yosemite - we recommend you check the Yosemite website to find out more. Our site is also located 15 minutes' driving to the historic town of Groveland, which features some great restaurants and shops. Our campsites offer sweeping views of 4 waterfalls, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, three different river canyons, and a classic Sierra Nevada foothills ecosystem.

Bring your own tent and camping gear, or rent camping gear from us. You are also welcome to camp in your van or car - you can park right at the campsite. We offer a bathhouse just a 2-minute walk from your campsite with flushing toilets, showers with hot water, a water refill station, and wi-fi near the building.

The sites can accommodate up to 5 people, note there is a fee for extra campers per night after 2 people.

We are less than 5 minutes away from Rainbow Pools, a local swimming hole, and 5 minutes away from the Lucky Buck, a tasty diner. We are more than happy to give you suggestions on places to explore around Yosemite, Stanislaus National Forest, and Groveland.

We have a small dog named Nala who you might see running around and we can be around as much or as little as you'd like! This is a perfect spot for you if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful spot with views just at the doorstep to Yosemite.

I loved this campsite! The views were lovely and there were convenient platforms for tents and water coolers set up at each site. The showers looked newly renovated and were very clean. Camping in November meant the wind was pretty strong up on the gorgeous cliff but I imagine this breeze would be nice in the warmer weather

Loved tent camping. Beautiful views to wake up to every morning. Liza was very communicative and helped us with all our needs. We went during the cold season so the hot showers were a big plus. Definitely coming back here in the spring/summer months!

We loved camping here! Everything was great and peaceful. The fire ring we requested was there before we arrived and the view was amazing. Bathrooms were clean and they gave us a cooler with water which was awesome. I highly recommended camping here and we can’t wait to come back!

This was such an amazing camping site! The views were to die for and the amenities were perfect, easy to use, extremely accessible. Extremely close and BOOKABLE camping for Yosemite visitors (I literally want no one know of this place because it’s a true diamond in the rough). The sites were spaced out enough to feel that quiet solitude of the wilderness, without feeling totally alone and unsafe. Finally, while these are absolutely necessary for safety and ease, the platform was a bit uncomfortable to sleep over. SO, just bring an extra sleeping pad and tons of extra blankets and you’ll be fine. I 100% intend to camp here again!

Great platforms with some nice views, the bathroom/shower situation is also really nice. It is right off 120 so can be a bit loud at times. The neighbors across the valley were also partying a couple of the nights.

You can get in to the the park in about 30 minutes and it's another 30 to the main valley area. Really convenient base to explore the wonders of Yosemite!

Amazing valley view including a waterfall! This site was wonderfully located with excellent amenities AND it is super close to the park entrance. The hot showers were clutch after a long day of hiking they were clean and well stocked and I loved that they provided towels because I didn’t have to use mine and then pack it wet. Also, each site had a platform for the tent which we didn’t use since we were in a van but it was perfect for star gazing. Marty was an excellent host and we would definitely stay again!
