This quaint little one room cabin overlooks our 110 year old barn and garden. In the heart of the living space of our working farm, Hipcampers can expect a little more social and farm noise (goats, sheep, dogs, pigs, laughs), clean sheets, and parking right next to the cabin. The wood burning stove is off line for the summer season due to fire concerns, and there are lots of exposed screens to keep summer sleeping temps ideal, though the cabin does get hot during the day.
The cabin is a short walk from our composting toilet, and shower building. Two sleep comfortably in the comfy queen sized bed. Additional campers are encouraged to bring tent or tarp, and their own bedding, as there are two small tent sites adjacent to the cabin. A kiddo or two can fit on the floor, but bedding and sleeping pads are not provided.
Like many structures on our farm, this building is made exclusively out of home-made and recycled building materials, including the floor from an old --Antarctican-- bowling alley! There is lots of character in a tidy little package.

Lovely and welcoming community
Lovely private and communal spaces that had everything we needed! Eve was friendly, welcoming, and interesting to talk to. It was great to explore the farm, meet the animals, and learn about their ongoing projects and individual stories. Would absolutely stay again!
Matt & Eve have the most unique setup I’ve ever seen! Not to mention it is absolutely beautiful on their property. I enjoyed meeting the other campers that were also staying in the many other housing options they have available. The sheep will talk to you while you poop & shower, & the farm offers a front row seat in the mornings of how they operate their milk farm. Coffee is available (loved hearing that)! Our little cottage gave us an amazing view of the stars as we fell asleep. I highly recommend you stay at wondernut. If you are a light sleeper, be aware of dogs barking & a little more heat in the summers. But I wouldn’t let that stop you from staying :)
Wonder stay at wondernut farm
Staying at the Wondernut farm was simply wonderful. Warm greetings and hospitality, calm and quiet surroundings, beautiful place to center for exploring Yosemite, and all the animals!!
Exactly as advertised!
Very welcoming and clean! Although I knew there would be animal noises at the farm, the dogs barking at night were a bit loud. If you are a light sleeper this probably isn’t the place for you. Everything else was great!
Cozy nights stay
This adorable rustic cabin is perfect for a cozy unique nights stay a quick drive to Yosemite. Matt and Eve were very kind and helpful and quick to respond. The property is as listed with a glamping/old time feeling - the shower and toilets are sufficient. This spot is close to the communal kitchen and we found it just right. The bed was comfortable and even in the middle of summer it was a perfect temp indoors at night-the cabin has lots of little windows for ventilation. Enjoy!
A lovely little getaway!
Matt and Eve were great hosts! They were very sweet and helpful throughout our stay. They truly made the place feel like home. It was a bit hot in the cabin during the daytime so we recommend bringing a fan. But we would definitely recommend staying here for a unique getaway that you won't be able to get from other sites!
Magical and beautiful
Wondernut farm is truly amazing. We don’t have on bad thing to say about this place. The cabin was adorable, the communal kitchen space had all the necessities, and the animals were ready to greet as soon as we arrived. The farm crew was also really friendly and taught us so much about what it takes to run a farm. Special shoutout to Travis who is a true gem. He let us feed one of the baby sheep and herd them into the barn. We had an incredible stay here and can’t wait to come back! Miss you all!
