We are happy to share our modern tiny farm house, set on 6.5 acres, full of original art, natural light, country views, and abundant charm. Sleep comfortably in the king bed with luxury linens, or climb the industrial pipe ladder into the full bed "tree house" loft. Cook meals in the tiny kitchen. Eat inside or outside at dining tables and relax inside the house or on the private spacious deck a few steps through the french doors. If you want a noisy place, you may not like it here; most of the sounds are from the crickets chirping, the frogs croaking, the birds singing, and the breeze blowing through the trees. Enjoy lounging on the private Tiny House deck or on the brick patio in the rose garden just int front of the Tiny House. Lounge in a hammock, take a walk down our country road, feed the alpaca, sheep or chickens or steer, take pictures of the amazing sunsets, and count the falling stars. Grab your bike and ride the trail just up the road in Paradise or launch your kayak on Paradise Lake. An abundance of outdoor activities are easy to access all around us.

Drive 22 min. to downtown Chico and Chico State, famous Bidwell Mansion, or Bidwell Park, 15 minutes to Limesaddle Marina on Lake Oroville or Butte Creek Canyon. Drive 7 minutes to Butte College or the Adventist Hospital, or just 3 minutes to Paradise for antiquing. Bike or walk the Paradise historic trail that follows the old railroad line through Paradise, visit the Paradise Depot Museum or the Gold Nugget Museum.

Cell service is good and we have fiber optic Wi-Fi. The TV has a built in DVD player and a flash drive plug in, or can be connected to a lap top. If you want to watch a DVD, we'd love to lend you our collection. If you need a band aid, a needle and thread, or anything for the kitchen that we haven't thought of, anything at all, just let us know. Julio and I love interacting with guests but we also respect your reasons for travel. Come hang out or lay low.  We're flexible. We have four adult children who are sometimes around and grandpa who lives half time here and the other half in Peru. We also have kittens and a Border Collie named Caspian who wander our property. The couple was very friendly, they gave us great advice on what to do in the area, and made sure our stay was perfect. The room was kept very clean and tidy, and felt very comfortable. Around the property roamed cats who were friendly but mainly kept to themselves, and then there was a super friendly dog named Caspian, who loved to be petted and would visit us from time to time. We felt very welcome overall, and would like to come back again.

Gorgeous tiny home! Cozy with beautiful views. The beds are the best of the best for comfort and space. Love taking walks down the gravel road.
Private porch for relaxing. The farm kittens playing all day, from every view, this place so magical.

My daughter love it too! She enjoyed the loft.

I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Velasquez Tambo Ranch. The tiny home I stayed in was impeccably clean, bright and sunny and had a delightful deck that I sat out on and just soaked in the ambiance of the woods on the property and the nicely landscaped property. My hosts, Carolyn and Julio, were wonderful, kind and very helpful while being very respectful of my privacy. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend staying here for anyone who wants a peaceful get away from city life.

Carolyn and Julio were wonderful hosts. The Tiny House is exactly like the photos. Their property is beautifully kept. We loved visiting the animals. We are looking forward to possibly staying in the Airstream on a future visit.

The stay at Carolyn and Julio's place was wonderful. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, greeted by their lovable dog Caspian and a herd of curious kittens. The house had a very comfortable king sized bed, the AC was perfect for hot nights, and the kitchenette was well equipped to prepare simple meals. While we didn't get to meet Carolyn, we met Julio one morning while we ate breakfast on the porch and had a lovely conversation. It was so nice to connect with a welcoming, friendly face.

We were greeted by sweet kittens and Caspian (the family dog) when we arrived. The tiny house was adorable, with a wonderful deck and nice touches in the space, including delicious muffins, coffee and tea. We enjoyed the quiet space surrounded by trees and felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Also had a nice walk around the property and enjoyed all the chickens, alpaca and horses nearby.

We had a bit of challenge navigating the small kitchen and would have preferred a little more privacy than we had. Dining options and activities were a bit limited nearby but we did make a long drive to Lassen and Yuba for day trips which were lovely.

The tiny house is exactly how you see on the pictures, beatiful, very clean and comfortable. The property is gorgeous and calm and it was a blessing to be able to go see the alpaca and the chickens, to have fresh eggs in the morning, and to rest in such a loving place.

Carolyn is very responsive. She gave us a warm welcome, told us about Paradise's history and was available for tips. She explaineed to us that 'tambo' is a Inca word meaning place for rest/recovery. Rested and rejoiced is exactly how I felt upon visiting their place.

Thank you for opening your home to us and for such a lovely stay, Carolyn. I hope to see you soon.

We had a beautiful and relaxing stay at Tambo Ranch! Carolyn and Julio have a lot of love for their home, and it shows! They were superb hosts, accommodating our needs when necessary, like lending us a slow cooker and setting up a grill when weather conditions prohibited fire cooking! We loved sharing Peru stories with Julio. The ranch is gorgeous! We saw beautiful sunsets, twinkling stars, and a spectacular thunder storm! Our kids loved chasing after the cats, feeding the chickens, and visiting the sheep, cow, and alpaca! It was great to have a space for them to run around while still having a lot of privacy when necessary! The tiny house is pristine and a perfect glamp experience! In close range of many great watering holes for the whole family! We’ll be back!

The Tiny House was such a great place for our family getaway. The little red house situated on a corner of Carolyn’s little garden and was surrounded by flowers, trees and a tall hedge making it semi private from the gravel driveway where we parked our car. The house was tiny but very well organized and decorated. It had a king bed on the main floor and a queen bed on the loft, both of which were very comfortable. The house also had a tiny kitchen with full size sink, where we managed to cook up yummy breakfasts from the eggs produced by Carolyn’s chickens.

Aside from the farm animals (a chicken, a sheep, an alpaca and a bull) Carolyn had 3 cats, 4 kittens and a very friendly dog named Caspian wandering the property. My 2 boys had a wonderful time playing with them. They even gave each cat a name. The property is big enough for my kids to run free without us worrying about their safety. At night, we were surrounded by the star studded sky and the sound of crickets, frogs and the breeze rustling through the leaves,

The ranch was about 20’ drive from Bidwell Statepark. We had a lot of fun in both Lower and Upper bidwell park. We went hiking and the kids spent hours playing in the rocky river.

Overall the Tiny House was a perfect pick for our quick vacation before school starts. The whole family enjoyed it.

Thank you Carolyn & Julio for welcoming us to your home and experience your little corner of “paradise”.
