My family and I stayed 2 nights and absolutely loved it. It was the first time our boys (11 & 7) had been camping that they can remember and had a ball. Bob was an excellent host and the scenery was awesome. I would definitely recommend this site!

This place was perfect! It was the hipcamp we've been hoping for. The drive to the site definitely needs four wheel drive with large ruts in the road but it helps make you feel secluded. Once you make it to the sites they are well marked and each have a table. There is a porta-potty as well and communal area with fire pits. The stars were absolutely gorgeous and site 2 makes you feel on top of the world.

One of the coolest camp sites weā€™ve ever stayed at! The campsites have amazing views and the off-roading is legit. Itā€™s getting chilly at night so bring layers!! The shared space is really cool too. Canā€™t wait to come back!

I drove over five hours to get there and it was well worth it! Waze correctly navigated me all the way to property, no confusion. You definitely need clearance under your vehicle, but I have a 2wd Sportage and did fine.

Thereā€™s plenty of signage once you arrive, though watching the welcome video/ property tour definitely helped.

I honestly couldnā€™t think of a single improvement. The views were incredible as was the whole set up. Loved the communal fire pit areas - reminded me of camp when youā€™d walk back to your cabin after campfire šŸ„°

I had phone reception most of the time and Bob got back to me right away when I had any questions.

Overall 10/10!

Just got back from an amazing stay at Backcountry 1. It seems to be the most private of all of the sites (with the exception of Backcountry 2 being within view). You have to walk a short path down to the private area but transporting our stuff from the car to the site was extremely worth it and not too much of a hassle. The site has stellar views and honestly one of the best spots I've camped at in this area. You are surrounded by mountains and the stars at night are bright because of minimal light pollution. There is also minimal sound pollution and all of the campsites were relatively quiet on a weekend. Great place to reconnect and find peace. The site itself is spacious enough for a mid-sized tent and several set-up areas for kitchen and fire pit/lounge area. The space has two round tables which made it super convenient for cooking and eating. Things to note, there is no shade so bring some sort of canopy or shade set-up as the sun/heat can be intense during the day. You do have to bring your own chairs and wood burning fire place is not allowed at this particular site due to all of the plantation. They do have a communal area that has a wood burning fireplace and a grill for all to use. We brought our own propane fire pit so that wasn't a problem. I really can't believe this spot exists for this price range. Bob was also a wonderful host, responding to any questions I had and providing loads of very professional informative videos and tips. He has taken the time to add details and love to the land such as cute signs designating spots and solar lights to help light the trails. It did not go unnoticed. There are some nearby hikes we didn't get to experience because our views were just that good that we didn't want to leave. Overall, extremely impressed with it all and will DEFINITELY return. Last thing to note, I would definitely heed to the advise of the host to bring a 4x4/AWD high clearance vehicle as there are some rocky/bumpy paths but overall not too bad.
