Please check out the latest addition to our retreat center, the Enchanted Forest Glamping Tent!

The Tiny House allows max 3 adults, or 2 adults plus 2 small kids. The loft bed can accommodate one adult or two small kids.

The Tiny House allows only one vehicle. The vehicle traffic damages the road and it is very expensive to do road works. Also increased traffic causes disturbances to the residents and neighborhood so we have to strictly limit the number of vehicles. In case you need one more car contact host for approval with extra charge. No loud music allowed any time. Quiet time 9p - 9a. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules.

The Tiny House is cozy 100sf (10x10), insulated and an indoor propane heater provided, at the prime location right at the center of the campground, steps away from the bathrooms and kitchen cottage, yet privately tucked under the redwood tree and overlooking the beautiful outdoor amphitheater.  There is a queen size bed and mattress with a water proof cover, a nightstand, and a chair. There is also a propane BBQ grill and an outdoor picnic table in the back.

Due to the current COVID situation, we do not provide linens for the bed, please bring your own sheets, blankets and pillows.

Guests use shared bathroom in the campground. There is sink with hot water in the utility shed.

We just paved all the road going to the campsites! Smooth and beautiful asphalt road. Site 10 is away from other campsites and has a dirt road off the paved road.

SPECIAL COVID RULES AND TICK SEASON WARNING:

1) ONE HOUSEHOLD ONLY PLEASE - Due to the current covid restrictions, it's been necessary to restrict use further to maintain compliance and safety to stay open. Please only stay in our hut with members of your existing household "bubble".

2) NO OPEN FIRES - The nearby recent fires have left everyone very sensitive to fire risk so no, we're sorry but fires will still not be allowed under any conditions.  Your propane or coleman style camp stoves are ok for cooking.  Please bring nothing that requires coals/wood, etc.

3) TICK SEASON WARNING: The Santa Cruz mountains are tick territory and depending on the time of year ticks are easy to pick up so doing a tick check at the end of the day is highly recommended.  If this is a concern, please use tick repellent and look to the county HSA for more information.

Welcome to the Enchanted Forest Retreat!

We are a meditation retreat center with 45 acres of some of the most gorgeous redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains to enjoy hiking, creeks and small water fall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more.

Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 hot water shower and plugs for charging phones, laundry shed with sink and hot water, one BBQ grill by the fence up above the creek, and an outdoor amphitheater. We have meditation teaching at the amphitheater and campers are welcomed to attend for free.

25 minutes to Silicon Valley - 25 minutes to Santa Cruz Boardwalk we're centrally located in the south bay. Dogs and kids are welcome - dogs must be picked up after and kept on a leash if other campers are present.

Please note: This is camping - there may be bugs, critters, dirt, unpredictable weather (pack for the cold, just in case - we get surprise fog often!), early sunrise, no cell data, etc etc. It's not the Hilton - but it is gorgeous. ;)

Shopping such as Safeway, Costco and the big box stores are 20 minutes away in Soquel; however, we have a charming little market (Summit Center) 3.5 miles away that has a great selection of groceries, drinks and hot foods, etc.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we'll help however we can!

NOTICE REGARDING RVs and TRAILERS: While we can not offer hookups, theoretically we have no problem with RVs - the reason we state we don't allow them is that the road is dirt and steep in a couple of places getting down to the campground and VERY narrow in one spot (10ft). Our concern is that your RV and/or trailer will not make it down without damage and/or not make it back up at all! If you feel you're willing to take this risk (we won't be held liable), you're welcome to reach out to us and we can see what is possible.

This is our second visiting. We do enjoy the convenience and the calm vibe in Alice’s campsite. People are friendly and respectful. The bathroom is clean. We also got invited by another camper’s kid birthday party and the outdoor movie!

Beautiful setting! Right under the redwood trees. Cabin gets cold so bring lots of blankets. Only complaint I have is, she gave us the wrong code to get in, and with no cell service in the area that was a bit of an issue.

The description is accurate and the space was tidy. As a solo woman traveler I felt uneasy with a neighbor and their questionable state of mind (they were shouting things and rummaging about outside the tiny house) with a door that would not lock sufficiently and no cell service for emergency use. I recognize the neighbor thing was outside of the hosts control, and I probably wouldn’t have been bothered about the locking door otherwise. I let the host know the next day, and she responded well. It is a beautiful property and is a great balance of being accessible to Santa Cruz while really being out in the woods.
