The dodecahedron fire pit and bar area is a perfect entertaining area. The Bullards Bar Reservoir is the largest lake in the county and it is 3 miles down the road to the public swimming hole inquire within about pontoon boat rentals. The Middle fork of the Yuba River is the same distance in the other direction with cute waterfalls and sandy public beaches.

Jay was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was always comfortable and happy. All the other guests were very friendly and we enjoyed sharing the community kitchen. We also really liked the outdoor shower and sauna.

The setting is incomparable. There is art everywhere I turned. The lodging was cute and comfortable but the community spaces were special. Loved the outdoor kitchen and shower

Amazing experience at the farm. Met 7/8 groups staying on the farm and they were really great people. Deja showed us around the property and Jay brought great vibes (and even better pizza).

Pros
- Great place to feel a sense of community deep in the woods
- Beautiful farm with lots of activities
- Great reservoir nearby for hikes, swimming, and a relaxing lake day
- Great outdoor kitchen (all you need to bring is food)
- Jay is awesome
- Trailer is basic but works for sleeping quarters

Cons
- Trailer was not fully sealed, so lots of spiders. Thankfully I don't mind spiders, but not everyone may feel comfortable sleeping near them

Good to know
- 2 ways to get to farm on unpaved road; north entrance and south entrance. Cars with low clearance will have a tough time coming up the south road without scratching the underbody. Highly recommend taking the north entrance if you're bringing a sedan

We stayed on the property the whole time and did not explore the nearby waterways. We DO plan to come back.
Pros:
-The Trailer was the perfect size for us and it never got too hot or too cold for too long.
-Everyone supporting the property is incredibly kind and helpful.
-Awesome dogs.
-Outdoor kitchen and access to fridge space to keep perishables cold.
-Jay’s willingness to help with the pizza oven and ‘Boba Fett’ fire starter.
-Ice machine in the kitchen.
Cons:
-Mosquitoes come out at sundown and no amount of spray helped.
-The composting toilet was too tall for my 5 year old to effectively use it.
-The last 30 minutes of the drive in was hilly and windy roads. If you/your kids are prone to car sickness, you have been warned.
Recommendations/good to know:
-Headlamp for night time.
-Long sleeves/pants for when the mosquitoes come out.
-Travel toilet for little ones.
-You must love dogs or at least not be afraid of them because there is always a friendly dog (large and small) nearby.
-FYI, the trailer is basically an awesome shelter and storage space. Water/electricity are not connected but there is a lantern for nighttime light.
-We enjoyed catching lizards and frogs and finding things to do around, but we also brought our own card games and puzzles.
-When making pizzas, after you flatten your dough, BUILD YOUR PIZZA ON A FLOURED PIZZA SPATULA. Otherwise you will be forced to make a calzone.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sierra Sol Vintage Trailer. Our host Jay was really welcoming. When we arrived he showed us around the property which has an array of amenities, including a wood stove sauna, a beautiful outdoor shower with a tankless water heater, and an outdoor cooking/entertainment area. We were welcomed by two beautiful rescue dogs that live on the property as well. We went immediately to explore the surrounding area and went to the Oregon Creek Day Use Area. The Day Use Area provides access to where the Oregon Creek tributary flows into the emerald green waters of the Middle Yuba River. There was a few picnic tables and groups of people but we were able to find a spot just a short walk up the creek which provided small pools within the cascades among large granite boulders. Back at the property we joined other campers (and their dogs) and enjoyed the feeling of a communal space while we sat at the campfire. The trailer was very comfortable and cozy to sleep in. It was located far enough from the other camp sites that we enjoyed a quiet rest as we were lulled to sleep with the sound of frogs and crickets.
