This is a 16 ft. Canvas tent here at the southern border of Tahoe National Forest. This site has 2 Double beds. We have solar lights and new beds to enjoy the most restful nights sleep in the woods. Our private outdoor shower has warm water and fun outdoor communal kitchen is wonderful for entertaining and sharing a meal. We have all of the kitchen utensils you would need, coffee maker, toaster, ice machine, small fridge to share with other guests pizza oven and we try to keep oils and spices fully stocked. The Kitchen is located right next to our veggie garden in between our two orchards. It is the hub of entertaining, for more of a private night the sites all have solar lights a battery lantern and a small table and chairs. You can bring one of our ice buckets to your site or ask for our camp stove we have one available to use if you reserve it and would like privacy.
We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake.
On our property like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset that you may have mosquitoes down near the sites. We have natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

All you could hope for & more
Deja’s land is so special! Everything far exceeded our expectations— from the stocked outdoor kitchen, the bath under the infinite stars, to the abundance of food growing throughout the property. This place is awesome. Thank you Deja!
A perfect slice of vacation
Deja has created a magical space at her farm. Stepping into her property was like stepping into another world. Every corner has a beautiful piece of art, a hammock for relaxing, or some other unique detail. The kitchen had everything you need and more to create simple and elaborate meals alike, the outdoor shower/bathtub were gorgeous (and had warm water!) and the communal spaces invited great conversation with fellow travelers. Our glampsite was comfortable and lovely and Deja and her pack of sweet pups could not have been more welcoming. We can’t wait to return!
“the kitchen is for dancing!”
Deja is an incredible host! I absolutely love staying here and will continue to come back. I celebrated my birthday here and it was one of my favorite ones yet. Thank you and keep doing what you’re doing! We’ll be back!
My family had a wonderful time staying here. The canvas tent and comfortable beds make sleeping easy. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic. I loved the private outdoor shower and the one of a kind, hanging fire pit. My daughter absolutely loved the dogs, chickens and ducks. Deja is an excellent host, very friendly and welcoming. We were also within 10 minutes of Bullards Bar and the Yuba river. My family enjoyed a day at the river, as the lake is incredibly low currently. We highly recommend booking a stay here and we plan to come back next year
This was my second time staying with Deja -- both times we had an amazing experience!
This is a lively camp where there are always interesting people to meet and interact with. We also got to make friends with a super cute cat and a bunch of puppies. Most nights there is music and bustling conversation around the campfire, but the tents are far enough away if you're looking for peace and quiet.
The semi-outdoor shower is one of my favorite parts of the facilities. The open air kitchen has every convenience you'd need (refrigerator, stove, water, ice maker). The compost toilet could use some TLC (there seemed to be more spiders and odors this time around than I remember in the past) but is still passable.
Our tent had two full size beds with plenty of linens and a hammock out front. There was even an outlet for lights and charging. No need to overpack, just bring food and clothes!
This camp is a fantastic option if you want a quick, easy, and social escape from the city.
