A mountaintop sanctuary!
Stunning views from the yurt and bathtub! The bathrooms are amazing and have sinks, mirrors, and adorably-labeled toilet paper. Be sure to being grippy-soled shoes for hiking the short (but steep) trail down to the meadow. As others have mentioned, I was glad to have 4WD on the steep dirt road up to the yurt. We loved hearing owls, families of quail, gray squirrels, and coyotes in the distance. Andrea was a great host - thank you for sharing this very special place with all of us.
This site is absolutely wonderful - so peaceful and serene. Very remote and a nice weekend getaway. Andrea is so so so kind. She helped us in every way possible. She decorated the room so nicely and everything is very clean. I would recommend getting to the site in daylight since the roads are windy and narrow so can be hard to do at nighttime. We loved our stay! And enjoyed yummy fresh pizza and smores!
Camping with animals, kids.
We loved the yurt, It was big enough to fit an extra cot, we didn't use the sofa bed, we also had our large crate for our dog, it wasn't cramped. Clean and comfy. The view was amazing, other sites nearby but not to close. We had the entire area to ourselves. restroom was clean, easy to get to. No light in the restroom. Bring extra flashlights or lanterns, there is a small charger to charge cell phones, worked great. Bed was comfy, bring your own pillows/blankets. Towels too. When storing your trash at night keep it away from Yurt, far away< we had a mountain lion come near the yurt about 11:30pm. I woke to what sounded like someone was walking right next the yurt, no didn't see it because I did not want to go outside, so listened and I heard it then walked to our truck that was parked away from the yurt, jumped to the top of the truck took the large trash bag, we found giant paw prints and the bag down the road, managed to pick everything up. This was on our last night. we waited till morning to go outside, knowing it was out there. we did scare it off with the truck alarm when we knew something was on our truck, the other nights where fine nothing happened. Overall the place was amazing, a experince we will have forever. Thank you to the Host, she was very kind, great communication and directions. Thank You Andrea!
Yurt camping in the mountains
Andrea has created a beautiful space to escape and enjoy. The red yurt is large and very clean. Decorated so cute, with a nice little cooling fan and charger for the phone. The view is fantastic, each morning I would watch the sun rise, and in the evening watch the sunset. The area is so peaceful and quite. Andrea is great with her communication with directions and all other questions. Just a wonderful experience, that I would definitely come back to.
We just had a great weekend staying up here! It’s super peaceful up at the yurt. Make sure you watch a video or save instructions on the Le Peppe pizza oven before you come up so you know how to use it! We enjoyed relaxing at the property and hung out/swam in the eel river and lake pillsbury. The outdoor bath tub is awesome too.
We loved the stay. The Yurt is very clean and spacious for a 4 members. The tub with spring is simply super. We liked the location of the property. The host is very welcoming, informative, polite and helping. This was our first time stay and we will do more. The river near the property is very interesting. Only con is the 5-7 mile unpaved dirt road. Its advised to drive with SUVs or vehicles with greater ground clearance. Other than that, we enjoyed each and every moment. The common bathroom was very clean. Infact, the host has kept tissue rolls separately for every tents and occupants. They have thought through a lot to make the property experience great. There was a hiking in the property which we enjoyed too. Definitely we will come some more time.
