Camping by the river
We loved our stay at the Cove. We stayed in Larry and we also had Curly which was perfect for our group. Communication was easy and Kris always got right back to us. Sites were nice and clean and well maintained. It was hot but a short walk to the river with a small beach area to get cooled off. The camp hosts were helpful and very nice. We had a really nice time. Looked like there were some fun things to do in the area too.
This was our first Hipcamp and we would definitely go back. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.
Fantastic hidden gem
This place was AWESOME!!!! Perfect for our family of 6, with as travel trailer. It was quiet, very well kept, had incredible views and access to the river, and several big group spots. I'd come back here myself, and with big groups, tents or trailers. Kids had a blast in the river.
We booked this not knowing it was a larger camp with "The Cove" as we checked the RV box. We will come back and bring the teenagers with us next time! The place is amazing and beautiful. The spaces were very clean including the bathrooms and showers. There is no river view from the RV sites. The walk to the river is easy down a well maintained path. Bring some beach chairs and have a relaxing time! Per the locals you can tube or raft from there down to a local park if you're ok with Class 2 rapids. (Easily traversable but PFDs are required) Kris was extremely helpful and accommodating ! We will be back :)
Rv stay at a lovely site
We stayed in the RV sites. Owners were lovely. Renovated areas of the camp are fantastic - nice bathrooms and showers, easy river access, walkable property, dish station worked out very well, ping pong table was a bonus. Easy to drop kayakers off at the state park up the road for a 1.5 hour trip down river back to camp (you should have someone sitting out and waiting for you to arrive so you don't pass it). They have carts to help carry beach items down to the shore. Because the various tent and RV areas are fairly separated, it was a pretty quite camp and there wasn't any discernable road noise. Given the region, it is not surprising that we saw snakes and ticks, so be mindful. There are some trees so there is shade in the morning and late afternoon, but if you plan to be at camp on a very hot day, be sure to bring some additional shade with you.
Beautiful, clean, and just right!
Easy access, beautiful sites, great restrooms, host Kris is super accommodating, very friendly and communicative. This a beautiful area, our camping neighbors were quiet and considerate, and we enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back!
This place is lovely! Great quiet spot with full amenities and near by activities. There is corn hole and ping pong, river access, a really cool group fire pit with large boulders for sitting. We hiked the gerle trail 5 min away which was great for kids and dogs. We also drove a few minutes down the road and ate at white water pizza company for lunch one afternoon. Really cool spot in the sierra foothills!
