The space

Discover the Green & Wild way at Whites Landing on beautiful Catalina Island. We invite you to explore our remote 25 acre glamping retreat, an experience that is unavailable anywhere else. The island is home to unique endemic wildlife, like California Bison, Catalina Fox, Mule Deer and the evasive Catalina Shrew. You will have the revelation of observing the fascinating marine life right off our shore like the Moray Eel, Leopard Shark and even Green Sea Turtles. We provide the opportunity to find yourself in a space unlike any other place on the island. Once you have reserved your tickets on the Catalina Express you will have the option to reserve your transport from Avalon a 3 mile coastal tour from Avalon or a 10 mile scenic tour through the interior (Advanced Reservation Requires). You may choose to journey the 10 mile hike by land (DM for details). Reach out for our arrival and departure schedules. Please send us your Catalina Express Reservation days and times.

Guest access

Guests at Whites Landing have access to our entire 25 acre retreat. There are trails to hike, coastal waters to snorkel and swim, an incredible beach to walk under the stars or just relax and soak in the Vitamin D. We do offer guided Kayak, Snorkel and Hiking tours. Inquire at our camp store or visit our website. You're on Island Time now. At Whites Landing, the sky’s the limit and you get to create your custom Adventure!

Note: Please keep in mind that transportation from to and from Whites Landing is not included in the cost of your accommodations. You must be prepared to reserve a means for transportation separately. 

Cell service: Verizon works great, At&t somewhat and all others well maybe you should turn off that roaming and enjoy getting back to nature. 

Wifi: No sorry. 

Food service: Is available on the weekends in season, (DM us for more information) we have freshly made ala-carte items for sale in our camp store along with snacks and MSA Gear!. If you would like to bring your own food, we have a shared refrigerator and you can reserve a grill or BBQ!

Equipment rental: We have masks & snorkels, kayaks, sup’s and more available for rent!Guided Eco Tours: Yes! Eco Tours are available! There are many tours to choose from when exploring our unique environment. Inquire at our camp store or visit our website.

Facilities: Rustic, clean bathrooms and open air showers. We also include continental breakfast along with water, tea and coffee (no single use plastic bottles PLEASE).

Other things to note

THINGS TO BRING(No dollies or wagons allowed - all gear must be hand carried in on one trip)

- Clothes and a Jacket

- Sleeping Bag, Twin Size fitted sheet, Pillow (unless staying in our bungalows or glamping tents)

- Refillable water bottle

- Toiletries – please include a small hand soap, and hand towel to take back and forth to the bathroom during this Covid period.

- Flashlight

- Face covering (while on transportation vessels)

- Beach Towel

- Food – continental breakfast is included and full breakfast is available at (coffee, tea, muffins or bread) – you can bring your own food or buy from our camp store.

We have an excellent Catalina Island Concierge as well as staff members that can assist you with anything you need, like reserving tours, foodservice, equipment rentals and any general information or questions you may have. You will see Catalina wildlife at our camp. Bison, Mule Deer, Catalina Fox, Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks and so much more. Remember to not feed any of the critters and to keep your distance. Remember once you’re here you’re on Island Time. So lay back, rest, relax and most of all have fun!

TRANSPORTATION FROM AVALON TO WHITES LANDING (Face coverings are required on all transports)

GREEN & WILD SHUTTLE 

Late Morning and Late afternoon departures from Avalon to Whites Landing and morning and afternoon departures from Whites Landing to Avalon. Please message us your arrival and departure times for your Catalina Express reservation and your preference and we will direct message your shuttle time. Cost is $80 each way per trip for up to 6 people (after 6 ppl it will start again at $80). Transportation will be either by boat or car at our discretion. Please put your preferred transport times under the "NOTES" section at checkout. Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance.

HIKE OR BIKE INTO WHITES LANDING FROM AVALONThe hike from Avalon to Whites Landing is beautiful and scenic. The hike is about 10 miles with different elevations and does require a permit from the Catalina Island Conservancy. The hike usually takes about 4 hours please text us before you leave Avalon and do not hike at dark!

WILDLANDS EXPRESS AIRPORT SHUTTLEThis Shuttle will pick you up at the TrailHead in Avalon and transport you to Black Jack Junction and the Whites Landing Gate and you can hike down to camp. This hike is just 3 miles down and again very scenic. Tickets are $20 each per person and reservations are required through the Catalina Conservancy Trailhead office. Shuttle usually leaves Avalon at 4:00 PM.
