Full hookups RV sites with mountain and/or lake views for RVs up to 28 feet or car/van camping (not suitable for tents). Mellow community vibes, kayaks, SUP, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for wilderness and bug-loving adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra. We’re a small family-friendly camp with a unique mix of RV sites, cool rental campers and tent camping spots.
I M P O R T A N T : Please let us know the TYPE & LENGTH of your RV/trailer/van (your booking request will not be accepted without that info). We have slightly lower rates available for car camping and RVs under 22 feet, please ask prior to requesting the booking.
Due to Covid-19, guests traveling in RVs/trailers are expected to use their own bathrooms, while of course having access to the full hookups: 30amp electric, water & septic - at their site. Please see detailed info below and let us know if you'll need a bathroom access prior to requesting the booking. Thank you for your understanding!
Since it's gravel, we DON'T allow pitching tents on the RV sites (plus it's simply not comfortable for tent camping) but you're welcome to car camp. If you hope to tent camp with us, please check out and request one of our tent sites.
Please read below Covid-19 info and the entire listing description before requesting the booking. Stay safe and we can't wait to see you all soon!
Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! This is still a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe distance. We truly appreciate your understanding.
We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:
- All restrooms are cleaned several times a day and all surfaces are disinfected. Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own or rented RVs or trailers with bathrooms. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying at tent sites, in our rental campers, or in vans/small trailers without a bathroom.
- Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
- Starting June 15th, face masks are not required outdoors. We will still ask you to wear them inside our public restrooms (if you don't have a bathroom in your RV), except when taking a shower or washing your face. Please come prepared.
- Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy, as stated in the listing. Infants, children, and adults all count as one.
- Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.
Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated at home. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!
Please read through the entire listing to find out more about these sites and our camp. We can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra! :-)
Our Mountain Views RV Camping are gravel spots with mountain and/or lake views, some are more exposed, some offer shade. PLEASE NOTE, the location marked on the map is approximate and they may be anywhere within the camp, and your site number will of course differ from the default Sites #1-#4, that refer to the number of spots we list. In any case, we'll always make sure that the site is a great fit for your van/RV! We're a great fit for campers who appreciate a safe space with a friendly welcoming atmosphere, and are keen to embrace community vibe and meet fellow travelers, or prefer to keep to themselves and simply enjoy the outdoors.
We're a husband and wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting an RV site as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lounge outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us over the weekend, you'll be welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have fires on most Saturdays). There's no fire pit option at RV sites but you're welcome to use a communal fire ring or bring your portable elevated fire pit to enjoy a fire directly at your site any day.
Please note that we've had a modest snow pack this winter, which will translate to the lower water level in the reservoir that typically decreases later in the summer anyway. Swimming isn't available, particularly in late July onwards. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to go for a swim, while you're welcome to use our complimentary kayaks and SUP on the reservoir. We get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge nonetheless!
Did we mention that we love dogs? Be sure to bring you four legged friend when staying with us (we can accommodate up to two dogs at each site). With dog wash and off leash dog beach, your adventure pup will be a happy camper here! Please note that the dog beach can be quite limited when the water level in the reservoir is high. On the upside, the lake looks absolutely gorgeous then! When the water level is lower, it's plenty for walks, running around and playing with your pup.
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.
Please note, we ask for 3 nights minimum stay throughout the season and over the Memorial & Labor Day weekends and 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend (we won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th).
Please email us (with your RV details and preferred dates) if you're interested in a weekly or longer stay with us - we offer discounted weekly rates at the RV sites.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Had a great stay at Mountain View, even extended a few days. This is a great basecamp to explore this area and there is a ton to do. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. I hope to get back in the spring.
The place for r&r
Between the time I made our camping reservation with Veronika in January and we finally went on out trip, I was diagnosed with cancer. With my surgery date just two days before check-in, I wasn't sure we'd make it. I reached out to Veronika to let her know what was going on. She was incredibly kind and communicative. I ended up feeling OK to travel, so this excursion turned into what what I called my "Weekend of WHEW." The Paradise Shores RV Camp was the perfect place to rest and recuperate. It's super clean and family oriented, and the host Elizabeth couldn't have been more friendly. There isn't a single amenity that goes without a special touch--clean and super stocked bath/shower house, great communal outdoor kitchen and fire pit area, a well-prepared and colorful guidebook to the area that was sent before our trip, a recycling station, and even the free use of kayaks and SUPs. The views of the Sierra are to die for, and we spent our time exploring, birding, hiking, boating...and napping. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot. We will definitely be back!
Conveniently close to many beautiful lakes with lots of hiking trails, kayak rentals, fishing… just an outdoor recreation paradise. Also short drives to Bodie, Mono Lakes, with points of historical and geographical interest all over. And lots of places to eat now that the season is underway and covid is diminishing. But bring and and wear your mask. Veronica and the crew at Paradise are swell and were so helpful when we needed it. Thanks guys. Ed and Judy
Wonderful spot in paradise
We loved everything about this place! The location couldn't be any better, the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful – even providing a very detailed digital guidebook before our arrival, which informed much of our trip. We'll definitely be back!
We had a reunion of dear friends with a combination of our own campers in RV sites and then the refurbished campers and it was the ideal spot for all of us. Such wonderful hosts, great location to the Eastern Sierras, an easy place to lots of small children to hang and explore, super clean bathrooms, ideal outdoor kitchen where all four families could cook and hang together. I really cannot say enough great things about this spot, Veronika, and Alan! Hope to make it back someday
Unique and beautiful location
what a gem! very welcoming and informative hosts. just steps from the reservoir, beautiful walk on the beach with wildflowers in bloom. every detail from the bathrooms to the dog wash were clean and uniquely designed. we stayed 4 days and first 2 was beautiful with no wind, last 2 were quite windy so if tent camping will have to take that in consideration. it’s a short distance to traverstine hot springs which has three pools can be crowded. will definitely stay here again if pssing that way.
We spent three nights here this past week and had a lovely time. The hosts are super helpful and the camp has really good facilities. Our neighbours were all friendly and everyone considerate of each other. The location on the reservoir and the mountain views are stunning. Wherever you are in the camp, you'll have a great view to relax and enjoy a drink with!
