Swarms of gnats tried to land on our eyes as soon as we stood still. Since there is no camp host and noone locks the gate at quiet hours a group roared in at 2 AM with 3 trucks and decided to reverse into parking opposite our tent and unload their dirt bikes. This took a half an hour, during which their truck headlights lit up our tent where we were trying to sleep. At 2:30 they roared off somewhere and roared back in again at 3:30 AM, at which point they decided to chop wood. Since there is no camp host and the gate is not locked at night this campsite is not a peaceful place and is very open to misuse.

Huge. Numerous campsites. Most of them are too close together for my liking. Plenty of trees. Easily accessible. I was lucky and had the place to myself, but I can imagine on a busy weekend it might be full of campers, coleman coolers, and tommy bahamas.
