Amir's Zome Village is a little vortex of good energy. It's such a relaxing spot with all the amenities you need to unwind. Amir was a great host and made us feel right at home. I'll definitely be returning.

I am most definitely not the target audience for this location. I want to make that clear. I booked this spot out of necessity during a road trip. When I showed up at 10pm it was dark and hard to find. In the daylight Amir's direction's would've been fine. The only thing I would add to them is that when you see the yellow sign, turn on that road and keep going until an aging hippie greets you with a big smile.

The Zome village is still very much a work in progress, but if you don't mind the rough edges, I'm sure you'll enjoy this space. Keep in mind that Amir has built a camping space with community in mind. When I showed up there were strangers gathered around a fire, they were chatting and one was even playing guitar. The camping spots aren't that far from each other, so be sure to mind your volume at night. There's an above ground pool here too, but since I was just passing through I didn't use it. There aren't any real paths here either, so I hope you have good sense of direction when making your way to the toilet at night.

Speaking of which, god bless Amir for putting the time and effort in the toilet. An honest to goodness flush toilet in the middle of nowhere. I have no idea how it all works, but it does. Just know this, there is no door. Only a curtain. So if you're in there at night, keep your headlamp on. Also, kudos on the glowing bowl. I never knew I wanted to shit in a rainbow.

I didn't use the ramshackle kitchen. It looked like something out of a fallout game. If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind making chit chat with other campers before you've had your coffee, you'll really dig this. Personally, this is not my style. Don't worry though, it's only a 20 minute (or so) drive to the nearest cluster of fast food chains. Since there's running water here (somehow) you'll be able to keep your stuff clean, I wasn't here long, but my car did get dusty.

You won't need a jeep to get to the camp spots, but the roads are a little rough. Maybe don't book a site in the middle of the rainy season if you drive a Geo Metro. It looks like it could get muddy.

I would hands down recommend this place to my aging boomer parents. If you know who Ram Das is and are bummed that Burning man didn't happen this year, this place is for you. If you saw Wild Wild Country and thought that the Rajneeshees were the good guys, this place is for you. If you think that the Yonder Mountain String Band opening for Phish is the greatest thing since the Dead's reunion tour starring Jerry's ghost, book this place, it's for you.

This place was wondrous! Amir greeted us warmly the moment we arrived and took us on a tour of the grounds. Our campsite was located near the peaceful Zome(which he built) where he led us in meditation before our trip began. We were able to park next to our campsite and it was such an easy set up on the platform. We also had our own picnic table at our site. The outdoor kitchen was such a lovely gathering place. There were hummingbirds everywhere(Amir has feeders for all the sweet little creatures)! We were given a small area in the fridge to put some of our perishables(we also brought a large cooler) and full use of the stove, counters, picnic tables(2 in the common area), clay pizza oven, and fire pit(which Amir would have to start and be present for). Every night we sat around the fireplace and Amir would play guitar and teach us songs to sing together. Seriously, this was such a quintessential camping experience. We met people from all over and everyone was lovely. Beautiful people are attracted to this place. Amir also taught a pottery class where we learned to gather earth to make clay and make whatever our hearts’ desired out of the clay! He gave us recommendations on hikes and lakes/creeks to visit. It was such an amazing time. I suggest at least two nights! We’ll be back very soon. This will probably become an annual trip!

I pulled right into my reservation spot and felt like i was back home again. when i went up to the common area to say hello, my oldest friend in the world (or so it feels) was relaxing with his feet up on his porch, he called out to me and it made me feel like family he did not feel obligated to get up (i am very low maintenance

Beautiful spot halfway down from Seattle to California. Directions were accurate, but if you have a low riding car such as a sedan the road to the site may be a bit difficult to drive over to your site. Water was tested as safe, a little minerally. Maybe bring your own water. Stars are stunning at night. Very private. There are a lot of dogs in the area. One named Toby was so so friendly and joined us on a walk.
