Site is a bit hard to locate but Jim was kind enough to explain the steps in finding the silo. For future hip campers — do not proceed down the road especially if you have a car that is not lifted. Jim left supplies at the camp site for cooking and wood burning. I did have to leave early due to an emergency and Jim gave me a voucher for my next stay (which was nice). Overall, I would recommend the camp site just make sure you do your research before arriving (ie, read the directions given and maybe check the air in your tires).
Songdog is the perfect place to re-charge. The Glamp Tank site is private with all the basic amenities included. Watch the sunset over the mesa and enjoy the stars and campfire once the sun dips in the west. Jim is a gracious host and any of his sites are highly recommended!
Great last minute getaway
Beautiful campsite! Jim was very welcoming and was. A pleasure to talk to. The campervan was great I had a beautiful night under the stars. Complimentary firewood and camping supplies were amazing too! Friendly dogs to top it off!
Lovely special glamping in tank
First of all, Jim was the best host ever! I made a reservation a Tank Glamping for my baby's special first birthday. Because of the big tree, there was a beautiful and cool shade during the day and the Tank was so unique and we loved it! After we eat dinner, the rattle snake came out ( we all know it is there home!) and worried about it just because of my baby but Jim came (I didn't contact him cuz I didn't want to bother him with this. But he just appeared! Like Superman🤩) and transferred us to safe, beautiful, and cozy RV! Double happy experiences both Tank and RV and Of course, we will be back soon! Thank you Jim🙏👍
Solitude in the glamptank
Jim is an excellent host! This was my second time to Song Dog Ranch and it will not be my last. I love how he keeps adding new things and new camping possibilities. See you soon Song Dog & Jim!
Thanks again for all the happy time
I love this location. This is our second time at Jim's ranch. Jim is always nice. Jim’s dogs too.
We did stay at Songdog glampout last time with kids. But this time it's just the two dads. So let’s start party time!!
We knew that Jim had provided a cold tub for us. We jumped into the cold tub as soon as I arrived. Because 90 degrees out side.
After cooldown we start cook dinner.
We cooked for over six hours. But we didn't run out of firewood, which Jim provided for us. Thank you Jim!!
Next morning we check all another his camp site. Over 10 locations!! All very nice and clean. I’ll stay big cottage (for 40peoples!!) next time with my son’s soccer team.
See you soon Jim. Thank you so much!!
Glamping in the tank-
Enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend here for the first time! Jim welcomed us to the site and had essentials set up for us. Bathroom, inside the water tank, and provided blankets were all clean. Definitely gets a lil chilly at night so we did bring extra blankets and sleeping bags. We were able to climb up the mountains which my 3 boys loved and bike around the area. If you have lil ones, I would bring things they can play with in an open area. We took a soccer ball, baseball set, frisbees, etc. and they were able to play freely with plenty of space. Will come again!
Unique site to add to your list!!!
Very awesome and secluded site!! It had great scenery as well as great view of the stars at night. Jim was extremely accommodating and left me with everything I needed. He also was very prompt and detailed with communication which was a plus. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Absolutely no complaints!!!
