Camp along the banks of Bates Creek under the canopy of the redwoods in a 30 foot Southwind RV.  Your site is just 1 mile to Land of Medicine Buddha Retreat Center which adjoins the Forest of Nisene Marks by foot trails.  Must be 13 or older to camp at our property.

Enjoy a leisurely break from your outdoor activities at Soquel Vineyards tasting room and patio just 2 1/2 miles up the road or Bargetto Winery just a mile down the road.  You can bring a bottle of your favorite wine or beer back to your campsite where you'll enjoy the peace and tranquility the forest has to offer.

Coastal adventures await you just 2 and 1/2 miles to the beaches in Capitola Village...another mile from there to the 'Hook' surf spot...a short walk from there along the cliffs to famed surf spot and home of Jack O'Neil (RIP) Pleasure Point and the 'Barrel Burrito' at the Point Market, a local favorite.  Enjoy some local craft beer and good eats at Nubo (New Bohemian Brewery) on 41st ave just a couple of blocks from the beach.

For that fine dining experience, book a ride in a vintage car to the famed Shadowbrook Restaurant overlooking Capitola Village and beach.

When you're done exploring all that our coastal communities have to offer, come back to your sweet spot along the banks of Bates Creek and take in the wonderful sounds of nature.  Bring your own bedroll, pillow, towels and cooking equipment as well as flashlights and lanterns as this is 'camping' so no electricity at the RV.

This camp is in a rural/residential neighborhood, so you will see homes along the street.  This is a one lane road with a 15 mph speed posted and no exit as it ends at the Land of Medicine Buddha...you will hear the cars as they drive by and we have seen an increase in traffic with Big Basin State park closure...People are looking for alternative hiking areas yet LMB is closed Nov 1st - April 1st for maintenance.  You have to go to the Aptos main entrance.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BOOK AN EXTENDED STAY UP TO 29 DAYS MAX, PLEASE MESSAGE ME AND I WILL ADJUST THE CALENDAR TO ACCOMODATE YOU.

Great place to stay with a really comfortable queen sized bed. Next time I'll bring some of my mountain biking friends as the RV is very roomy. Close to mountain biking trails and All Trails LMB 6 mile loop trail. Less crowded than the Nisene Marks entrance in Aptos. Christie was very helpful and quick to respond to questions I had. I would definitely recommend both her Hipcamp sites.

Christie was really nice and helpful. She has a beautiful place in the redwoods for a Santa Cruz visit. Close to the beach and redwoods. The camper was comfortable and clean. I would stay here again.

Christie’s place was super cute and plenty close to town. We enjoyed the ability to drive into Santa Cruz and to plenty of mtn biking spots. Christie herself was super responsive and helpful. Would come back.

We had a wonderful time at Christie's property! We stayed in the RV. It was remote enough to feel like a getaway but close enough to town so that we could eat all our meals out and stop by the local breweries. The toilet in the trailer wasn't working but Christie provided us with multiple other options which were fine with us! She was very helpful and available if we needed her. Overall a wonderful experience!

Set up a hammock down by the creek! The seating area to the side of the RV with the little treehouse

Beautiful tranquil location. And only a few miles to several different beaches. Best of both worlds…ocean by day…forest by night..my utopia!

The host Christie is cool, down to earth, and wants to make sure you are accommodated! Awesome!
