The Tent Site sits on the edge of our 5-acre farm in a quiet area, right near the creek. The water keeps the evenings and mornings quite cool. There are a few spots to choose from in which to place your tent and set up camp.

Plenty of room for big tents.

You'll be camping on the sand and can drive right up to your camp spot. If you enjoy a good hammock there are great trees for that here.

There is a 4-person metal table available for you to use with 2 chairs and a fire pit.

Put your feet in the cool, refreshing water, or swim in the 5-foot deep swimming hole. Feel free to fish for blue gill or trout, catch crawdads, explore along the creek, pet the farm animals or sit around the bonfire.

You may be sharing the communal creek and beach area with other campers.

When you arrive follow the signs down to the creek.

There is potable water available on a light pole near the corner of the barn. There is also a communal hose at the upper campsite on the light pole with the Hipcamp sign.

**Firewood and Fresh Eggs are available for purchase from our farm shop**

Things to do:

We have a variety of farm animals that love attention; dairy goats, pigs (seasonally), mini-cows, chickens, ducks and livestock guardian dogs. A family of barn cats roam the property and keep the snakes at bay.

You are welcome to pick wildflowers and wild mint and anise. Wild blackberries are abundant in late July and August. The wild grapes are delicious in October.

We are very conveniently located just a 45 minute drive from Sacramento. 1 hour and 15 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe.

15 minutes from amazing mountain biking trails and lakes in both Auburn, Grass Valley, or Nevada City. 20 minutes from the American River Confluence with lots of water sports. Go river rafting in Coloma, a mere 30-minute drive, or check out the panning at Malakoff Diggins State Park. So much to do here.

Auburn and Nevada City have lovely farmers markets to visit on the weekends, as well as delicious restaurants and coffee shops.

If you'd like recommendations, just ask.

**Please understand that we are a working mini farm with livestock guardian dogs. The dogs do bark at night on occasion to protect our animals from predators. There are plenty of farm noises and smells, as well as the laughter of children filling the air. The sights and sounds are sure to fill your senses.

Ashley is a very nice host. The aite was quiet and we were able to camp right by the creek. We enjoyed swimming. The toilet was very clean and no smells. The farm animals were fun to watch and i thought my kids would have been wanting to interact more with them, but they enjoyed swimming more. Even tho it was too dry for a fire, we had a very good night looking at the stars. The site is very quiet and we could only hear the crickets and frogs when we went to sleep.

What a wonderful place to explore the Grass Valley area and the Yuba River! We love teh swim spots we find along South Yuba, and this is perfectly situated to explore. Charity's farm is conveniently located, well-appointed, and her and her family are lovely. We set up by the creek--it was so lovely, with a tree canopy for shade, and the creek keeping the kids entertained. But for our kids, it was also the farm experience they've always wanted! Charity's girls taught our kids all about chickens, goats, ducks, and more. Our kids even had the chance to milk some goats in the morning. And we bought some incredibly fresh eggs and homemade chocolate from the adorable farm shop stocked with Charity's homemade items. We'll definitely be back!

We loved this spot!
Really beautiful property and the camping area down by the river was ideal for us and our dog. Charity was super nice and the little farm store has the most delicious granola bars and I’m sure other things are delicious too. I would definitely go back and bring family/friends.
