This site is at the end of the road and closest to the bathroom. It's a big open space with lots of room for tents or even a small trailer. Plenty of shade in the morning and late afternoon, sunny midday. There are a couple trails that lead from this site to the bear cave and open boulder field, so you may see other campers passing through on their explorations.

Nearby fun: For water play, you are 10min from Lake Apine, 30min to Utica, Union, and Spicer Meadow reservoirs. Corral Hollow (easy-moderate) and Slick Rock (advanced) OHV trails are a couple miles in either direction. The resort town of Arnold is just 30min away for a bit of civilization. Remember to bring your own water, grab your gear and enjoy the crisp mountain air!

Needed a last minute booking for our girls trip that allowed a campfire because smores were a must, and Ginger's spot was GREAT! Picnic tables, outhouse, firepit, water spigot AND awesome local hikes. Did I mention the rope swing? 10/10 would recommend, 10/10 would stay again.

We loved this stay! It was a great location just off of the 4 highway and allowed us to visit Mono Lake and even make it out to Yosemite and back on our motorcycles.

There was a wooden table, small lights to help guide us at night, a great outhouse, foldable chairs and a great firepit.

The site was great! It had a picnic table with an umbrella, and a good sized fire pit. The host even left us some fire wood! They also had a rope swing set up that my kids really enjoyed. I also liked that it was a small camp site. We really felt secluded even though we were right off the highway. I would definatelt recommend this camp site. Thank you Ginger!

We loved the site. There were many thoughtful touches that we really appreciated. For example, the road into the site is lit with small jars of lights that were ever so helpful the night we arrived. The site itself feels secluded (there was no one staying in the adjacent camper during our visit) and there was some firewood already prepared for us when we got there.

There was some background noise from cars (the site is near a road) but it was only noticable during the day, when we spent little time at the site. Otherwise the site feels secluded and is very beautiful. The bear cave was a nice treat, although someone unfortunately has tagged it with graffiti inside. We really enjoyed traveling to the nearby Lake Alpine which was only a short drive away.

All in all, we would stay here again. Thanks for everything, Ginger!

Great site. Very private. Nobody around. Huge property to hike around. It’s a great place to camp without being surrounded by other people. Close to some reservoirs and parks. Only negative is the close proximity to the main road. Cars can come flying by at night, but I didn’t hear any after 10pm.
