We came in late that evening. Lisa was above and beyond with communication. Really felt as if you were staying at a good friend or families cabin. Lots of love went into this amazing spot. We booked it as a half way spot heading back from Bend, Oregon to the Central Valley. We noticed all the hikes in the area so have decided this should be a destination for a long weekend. 100% recommend and will 100% be back for a longer trip.
Base camp for castle crags and more
Cute little cottage close to Rt 5 and historic Dunsmuir and Castle Crags State Park. Mt. Shasta also close for more hiking adventures.
Comfy bed and futon. Stocked kitchen. Access to laundry facilities. Nearby river with swimming hole (short walk).
Wifi and cable TV.
This place was a good base camp for us!
Comfortable, relaxing, charming,
Cabin was very comfortable and well stocked, Lisa, thought of everything. Soaps, lotion, q-tips, bug spray, sun block, stocked food, books, crayons, color books, puzzles, games…… We brought all our own stuff as it was our first time! Will definitely book again if in the area
Massively underpriced :)
So this place for $85 a night is hugely worth it. It’s massive for the money, it’s basically a mini studio apartment! (Open plan kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom and big en-suite bathroom with insanely powerful shower). The host is lovely, there’s loads of food, a massive amount of dvds and DVD player. Heads up it’s in an RV park so it’s not really about the location itself, just the cabin. Really convenient as it’s literally just off the highway!
