**We have an upgrade this year (summer 2022)! A real flushing toilet and a shower! We also added an RV dump station.**
Plenty of room for big tents.
You'll be camping on the sand and can drive right up to your camp spot. If you enjoy a good hammock there are great trees for that here.
There is a 4-person metal table available for you to use with 2 chairs and a fire pit.
Put your feet in the cool, refreshing water, or swim in the 5-foot deep swimming hole. Feel free to fish for blue gill or trout, catch crawdads, explore along the creek, pet the farm animals or sit around the bonfire.
You may be sharing the communal creek and beach area with other campers.
When you arrive follow the signs down to the creek.
There is potable water available on a light pole near the corner of the barn. There is also a communal hose at the upper campsite on the light pole with the Hipcamp sign.
**Firewood and Fresh Eggs are usually available for purchase from our farm shop**
Things to do:
We have a variety of farm animals that love attention; dairy goats, pigs (seasonally), mini-cows, chickens, ducks and livestock guardian dogs. A family of barn cats roam the property and keep the snakes at bay.
You are welcome to pick wildflowers and wild mint and anise. Wild blackberries are abundant in late July and August. The wild grapes are delicious in October.
We are very conveniently located just a 45 minute drive from Sacramento. 1 hour and 15 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe.
15 minutes from amazing mountain biking trails and lakes in both Auburn, Grass Valley, or Nevada City. 20 minutes from the American River Confluence with lots of water sports. Go river rafting in Coloma, a mere 30-minute drive, or check out the panning at Malakoff Diggins State Park. So much to do here.
Auburn and Nevada City have lovely farmers markets to visit on the weekends, as well as delicious restaurants and coffee shops.
If you'd like recommendations, just ask.
***Please understand that we are a working mini farm with livestock guardian dogs. These dogs are NOT friendly with other dogs. Bring your dog at your own risk.***
The dogs do bark at night to protect our animals from predators. There are plenty of farm noises and smells, as well as the laughter of children filling the air. The sights and sounds are sure to fill your senses.

Charity and her family are the best! We love coming here and would recommend this whole heartedly to anyone. But don’t want to so that the secret does not get out!
Our family enjoyed our stay at Charity’s site. The creek side campsite was the perfect size for 6 adults and a toddler. The creek, campfire and farm animals were highlights of the trip. We also enjoyed the close proximity to both Auburn and Grass Valley. Charity and her daughters were very friendly. Would stay here again!
We had a magical and relaxing time camping creekside on this beautiful piece of land. The soothing sound of the stream as you are falling asleep can't be beat (step aside, Calm app!). It's an especially sweet spot if you have little ones; the creek is shallow and clean--very walkable for toddlers--but there is also a slightly deeper area (about 4-5 feet) where you can swim and really cool off. The feeding of the farm animals was also a favorite activity. If you aren't bringing little ones, it's still a lovely place to relax and rejuvenate, especially if you want the conveniences of nearby stores and towns (Auburn, Grass Valley, and Nevada City are all about 15-20 minutes away). Lastly, Charity and her family were warm and friendly, and they provide goodies--mostly from the farm--at their farm shop (eggs, preserves, chocolate bark, cookies, meat from the farm, and herbal salve). We had a blast!
Charity is kind and responsive. And the creekside spot is secluded and charming. And the stars at night were incredible! I am a solo female traveler and felt very safe here and met the nice family that was also hipcamping on the main level. The little market the farm has for sale is cute and inviting. And the toilet that I found is indeed a bucket inside a private tent, just in case that is important to you. Love the area and the animals! I'd stay again.

We loved our trip! The spot is beautiful and right next to the creek, which we could go in, and we spent time trying to catch small fish, pollywogs and crawdads in a bucket. We liked saying hello to the goats and very friendly cats. It was hot, but the water kept things cooler and there was plenty of shade.

The spot is as advertised and Charity was very friendly. Lovely little creek meandering through the property. It is a working farm with goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, and cows, a short drive from downtown Grass Valley.
Tent camping on Charity’s farm was such a fun experience! We set up our tent next to the creek which was pretty secluded, if you are looking for privacy. Charity’s kids were so sweet and showed us all the animals and told us a little bit about them. There is a bathroom conveniently located in the barn. There is also a variety of goods to purchase like fresh eggs, apple butter and chocolate treats. They were delicious! At night we made a fire using the pit and made s’mores. We even had some cats sleep on top of our tent at night. We had a great time staying at the farm and would love to visit again.
The creek side camp spot was perfect. The creek flows all year and is the perfect temperature to sit in all afternoon. Charity and her family are awesome awesome hosts. We are looking forward to coming back!
Charity was a wonderful host! Her farm is beautiful and the campsite is well located alongside a burbling creek that lulled us all to sleep each night. Her children were excellent farm guides, teaching our little ones all about life on the farm, feeding and caring for pigs, cows, and goats - our kids even got to bottle feed a baby goat with her daughter's guidance! We highly recommend this site - such a great experience!

Thanks Danielle - We enjoyed having you all.
