ANIMAL LAND
Ken was a great host with easy to follow directions. It was so nice to have an outdoor kitchen , shower, and power all a few steps from the river. We even saw a few bears in the evening + early morning! If you plan to bring a small camper or van, it can be a bit tricky to get in/out of the parking spot as there is a very steep spot right at the base. It's totally doable if you take it slow though.

ANIMAL LAND
Beautiful, wild, and luxurious.
Beautiful wild/raw land. We observed eagles, falcons, foxes, and bears. Ken was a kind and welcoming host. The site was so luxurious with an outdoor kitchen/sink, hot water, propane stove and electricity. We brought our blender. It was a first to have blended beverages while camping. Such a treat. The river was crisp, fresh and very swimmable. It was a new moon, so the stars were out in all their glory. We fell asleep to the sound of the river flowing. Thank you Ken for offering up such a lovely spot.

Great quiet spot on the river
Went to Ken's spot with my 9 year old daughter and 73 year old mother and had a great time. Within 30 seconds of arriving, we were watching bald eagles and osprey swoop over the river. Over the next few days we saw many more animals including black bears (other side of the river), foxes, frogs, toads, etc. Ken's land is nicely situated on its own bend of the river, making it very quiet relative to the state and federal public campgrounds we're used to. There is a nice spot to hang out in the water right in front of the camp site and the facilities (kitchen area, fire pit, toilets) were all very nice, making this a really easy trip for our multigenerational group. Not much in the way of hiking in the area, but Ken did a good job steering us towards some great places to explore (mountain stream swimming holes, etc) in some of the surrounding valleys. Overall, great stay. Definitely recommend it.

ANIMAL LAND
Comfortable Camping on the Klamath
Being able to visit a remote area and stay so comfortably was a pleasure! Animal Camp is so well appointed, it shows that the host, Ken, was a professional river guide who knows how to set up an ultra-comfortable site! The outdoor kitchen with hot and cold water, propane stove, BBQ, compost, food storage bins, and recycling is fantastic. And then there's the sun-spot shower, port-a-pot with a sink and soap next to it. It's just so easy to set up your tent and chill by the river! The location near the confluence of the Klamath and Salmon Rivers is incredibly gorgeous, not to mention Ken's own huge section of riverfront with beach areas and swimming. I've never been to a more comfortable campsite and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ken during my stay.
