Geronimo Cabin is a handcrafted 2-bedroom, 600-square foot hand hewn log cabin on a 200 acre eco-preserve.

Three other cabins are also now open and near by, one called Shamballa cabin, a hand crafted log post and beam structure and a third Trinity cabin, a simple and rustic hand crafted studio unit and our newest Serenity Cabin.

Geronimo Cabin has a fully functioning kitchen with cold and hot water but as of yet no inside bathroom. The clean 2 stall outhouse is behind the cabin and also there is a guest bathhouse with showers and flush toilet off the main house 1 minute walk away.  The cabin is heated with a window wood stove and will keep the cabin warm even in the coldest weather as long as it is resourced with firewood every hour or so.

We now have by the 4 cabins a shared group picnic area with a large charcoal BBQ, 2 massive 16 foot slab table, a fire pit and misc. chairs for family gathering and group workshops. We allow one armful of campfire wood but thereafter we charge $10. per load via the honor system. In winter we charge $10 per nite for firewood provided in the cabin. Envelope provided in the cabin for cash.

Walking this 200 acre eco-preserve is exhilarating and harmonizing to body, mind and spirit. The land is inviting, private, and resides on a large developing Retreat center. Surrounded by thousands of areas of the Tahoe National Forest and a mere 5 miles from Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park.

Adam has a few cabins to choose from unique to one another and placed as to provide privacy.
Geronimo, Shambala, Serenity, Trinity, Radiance and I may have missed one or two.
Shambala was spacious for we two, with two large bedrooms and a super large room with king mattress in the living/dining/kitchen area. All the cabins are similarly supplied with rustic well crafted furniture and art that ties to the cabin’s name.
Looking forward to returning one day.

This was exactly what we had hoped for...off the grid and disconnected. The hosts were friendly and it was unbelievably quiet. The only recommendation I would have is a new shower liner. I would absolutely book again!

Great spot. Beautiful area, lovely land. Friendly host. Solid WiFi. Clean bathroom. So-so beds—one is very soft. Be aware that the window screens do not all seal, so mosquitos are an issue. Bring your own salt, oil, etc, as kitchen is not stocked.

We chose this site because it offered the perfect opportunity for my girlfriends and I to meet up during this new Covid era. Each of the three of us stayed in a separate cabin, and then met outdoors to eat (we brought our own food) around the very large campfire area to socialize, and to enjoy the beautiful walking opportunities on the beautiful grounds. Because three of the cabins are located right next to each other (there is a fourth directly across a beautiful meadow), this property offered the perfect way to spend time with dear friends, while still maintaining social distancing protocols. At least two of the cabins offer plenty of space for a small family or housemates.

Adam is the perfect host; he was so friendly and helpful with recommendations about things to do in the area. The informational materials in the cabin also directed us to a waterfall near the property that was stunning! We had a picnic out there and it was so peaceful. He also recommended Blair Lake, which is about five miles away, and it was a great place to take a swim on a hot summer day. Bring your fishing pole! The fish come right up to the edge of the water.

Bring your telescope, too, to take advantage of the lack of light pollution and the amazing stars, but remember to bring your headlamp. It gets really dark at night! Speaking of which, if you're squeamish about going to an outhouse in the dark, the nearby guest bathroom offers all the creature comforts; just be sure you get there during the open hours. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabins are well-appointed, but bring your own specialty kitchen supplies if you want prepare any kind of food or drink that is more than basic--there's plenty of room to store whatever you want to bring in the ample kitchen cabinets. These cabins were really cute and very cozy. I'd definitely like to return sometime in the future!

Beautiful and quiet. Cabin was rustic (in a good way), solid and comfortable. Perfect spot to escape from everyday trials and distractions, with options to explore the general area.

I had given my step-daughter a gift of going to Geronimo Cabin in December and she and her friend loved it. So a friend and I got a last minute booking and just spend the weekend there. It's such a gorgeous beautifully-constructed fascinating (very tall ceiling and doors) cabin. We were warmed by the wood stove even when it snowed on Saturday night. We hiked around the property and drove the short distance to Malakoff Diggens State Park and hiked there too. Plus lots of reading in the very comfy cabin. The cabin has a full kitchen so we cooked a lot too. The outhouses were really bright and clean (windows! wood floors!) and we never even bothered to use the flush toilets or showers up at the house. Recommend this fully for a restorative getaway. Oh and I loved that there was no cell service or wireless (though you can apparently get wireless closer to the main house). That is all!
