Geronimo Cabin is a handcrafted 2-bedroom, 600-square foot hand hewn log cabin on a 200 acre eco-preserve.

Three other cabins are also now open and near by, one called Shamballa cabin, a hand crafted log post and beam structure and a third Trinity cabin, a simple and rustic hand crafted studio unit and our newest Serenity Cabin.

Geronimo Cabin has a fully functioning kitchen with cold and hot water but as of yet no inside bathroom. The clean 2 stall outhouse is behind the cabin and also there is a guest bathhouse with showers and flush toilet off the main house 1 minute walk away.  The cabin is heated with a window wood stove and will keep the cabin warm even in the coldest weather as long as it is resourced with firewood every hour or so.

We now have by the 4 cabins a shared group picnic area with a large charcoal BBQ, 2 massive 16 foot slab table, a fire pit and misc. chairs for family gathering and group workshops. We allow one armful of campfire wood but thereafter we charge $10. per load via the honor system. In winter we charge $10 per nite for firewood provided in the cabin. Envelope provided in the cabin for cash.

Walking this 200 acre eco-preserve is exhilarating and harmonizing to body, mind and spirit. The land is inviting, private, and resides on a large developing Retreat center. Surrounded by thousands of areas of the Tahoe National Forest and a mere 5 miles from Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park.

Write me for a weather link which is helpful for this 4000 foot elevation property as this listing will not show them.

We booked Geronimo cabin, but the host had to shuffle another family there and we stayed in the RADIENCE cabin instead. I highly recommend this cabin for it's solitude and inner beauty, but it's also practically the size of a house. It really has everything you need except food and water.

Couple words advice for the RADIENCE cabin. Bring all your food and drinks or stop at Mother Truckers market on the way in (they close at 7pm). There are 2 fans in the house and you will need them. We were comfortable when we moved them with us from the bedrooms at night to main room in the day. The water is colored from the well, but it's harmless to wash in. We brought in drinking water, but the host provided some to start. Don't forget bug spray. We drove the road with a minivan, but we would bring the SUV next time because the last 1.5 miles in is a little rough. We didn't see wildlife, but we heard them at night. I will bring a bucket toilet next time for my peace of mind.

Adam hosted us in a cabin that was the perfect combo of rustic and cozy in a gorgeous setting. We really appreciated the clear directions both to the cabin and to the local sights. I’d recommend bringing a headlamp, flashlight, or USB charger for the provided lanterns in case you need to venture out at night.

My husband and I loved our stay in the Geronimo cabin. As tent campers, we felt oh-so spoiled in our well-equiped cabin with a warm wood stove (plenty of firewood provided for us!), running water, a stove and all the kitchen essentials, comfortable bed with lots of cozy linens, access to a guest bathroom with shower and clean towels, lots of space to wander and explore the eco-preserve, more amazing outdoor adventure recommendations from Adam than we could tackle in one visit, and a beautiful, delicious, and nourishing salad made of goodies foraged fresh from the property provided by sweet Samantha. We look forward to returning for more adventures and to witness the growth of this wonderful preserve and training center!

Adam has a few cabins to choose from unique to one another and placed as to provide privacy.
Geronimo, Shambala, Serenity, Trinity, Radiance and I may have missed one or two.
Shambala was spacious for we two, with two large bedrooms and a super large room with king mattress in the living/dining/kitchen area. All the cabins are similarly supplied with rustic well crafted furniture and art that ties to the cabin’s name.
Looking forward to returning one day.

This was exactly what we had hoped for...off the grid and disconnected. The hosts were friendly and it was unbelievably quiet. The only recommendation I would have is a new shower liner. I would absolutely book again!

Great spot. Beautiful area, lovely land. Friendly host. Solid WiFi. Clean bathroom. So-so beds—one is very soft. Be aware that the window screens do not all seal, so mosquitos are an issue. Bring your own salt, oil, etc, as kitchen is not stocked.
