Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River which originates just east of Glacier National Park.

This property is secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature.

Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River.

Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls.

Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls).

Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views.

If you are up for an adventure, prefer nature over people, and enjoy being self-sufficient in the great outdoors with awe-inspiring views, then this remote & rugged setting for you! Ideally, your camper vehicle should be off-highway capable or at least be able to handle gravel roads, mixed with loose rocks, with a small section of the drive that involves a reasonable hill grade. This campsite is for those who enjoy a natural setting. If you want KOA Disney-style camping, then you should stick to the asphalt and move on down the road. At the time of writing, I would NOT recommend bringing your Class A Motorhome into this area, but things may change as this tranquil setting develops over time. The hosts are super welcoming, helpful and are the perfect ambassadors for the camping platform offered through Hipcamp. They have all the right ingredients to expand and build out the land into a longer term camping destination area. You should keep this unique spot on your off-grid camping radar.

Such a beautiful relaxing place to spend a weekend ! If you’re looking for a place to recharge and relax, you have found it! The property was so quiet, all you could hear was the river and the birds. Beware , it does take about 25 minutes to get up the dirt road with a trailer but very worth it !! We will certainly be back ! Nicole was super helpful with directions and provided us with any information we needed !
