Quiet and beautiful scenery.
Quiet and beautiful scenery. Great option for those who don’t want to stay in a busy campground. Great communication with hosts. Nice to have a gated entry as well.
Do yourself a favour and stay here!
I cannot recommend Nancy & Bob's property enough. It's a beautiful, picturesque setting just off the highway in Kaleden.
There are two sites; Site 1 has 50amp service and water. If you need lesser power, you can access 15amp service by using an extension cord to a regular outlet. Site 2 is a little more secluded and has water and can have 15amp service if you request. Each site has it's own camping toilet in a sea can. Each site also has a picnic table provided.
They have horses and a couple of dogs, all of which are very friendly. If you even get near a stick, Champ the dog will play with you for H.O.U.R.S.
It was the most relaxation we've had since COVID started. Thanks Nancy & Bob for being such wonderful hosts!
Beautiful and frendly
The property is absolutely beautiful and easy to find. They are very close to all amenities yet out in the country. Nancy was very helpful, friendly and acomidating.
Horsing around in kaleden!
Our first HipCamp experience was a great one! Thanks to Nancy for hosting us at her Kaleden farm.
Our two daughters love horses so they were extremely excited to stay on a horse farm. They were even more excited to learn that they were friendly and could be visited up close and personal! We took a walk through the fields to visit the horses, check out the stream and explore the old barn. Every morning we were visited by Champ, the farm dog who loved to chase sticks.
The site had everything we needed as we came with our trailer- water, power, and a toilet. We also felt very safe behind the locked gate to the property.
The location was fantastic, so many options for day trips! 5 minutes to OK Falls, 20 minutes to Oliver, 15 minutes to Penticton, and just a few minutes to the town of Kaleden that had the best little beach on Skaha Lake. Wineries, beaches, farmers markets, Tickleberry’s, it was all close. We even took a drive up the backcountry road to Twin Lakes one evening which turned out to be quite an adventure! We drove through beautiful ranch land to the lake, saved a turtle crossing the road and saw a big black bear in a field.
We spent three nights with Nancy and enjoyed everything about it!
