Secluded cabin on the S.Fork Caddo River. This beautiful 80 acre property and cabin offers guests free use of kayaks, tubes, and a paddle boat for enjoyment in the large swimming hole area of the river. You will enjoy private access to the entire property, including the unique outdoor bathhouse overlooking the river and Ouachita Mountains. Enjoy the views from the wrap-around porch and three-tier deck. Cook dinner in the fully equipped (but small) kitchen, or outside on the propane grill or fire rings. Explore 4 miles of trails on the property. The bathhouse contains a large outdoor shower, deep antique tub, and sink. And since the cabin sits in the middle of 80 acres with no other cabin or house on the property, you won't have to worry about neighbors. Many guests tell us that they never want to bathe indoors again! Inside, the cabin has 1 bedroom (1 queen, 1 twin bed), and a loft bedroom (1 queen, 1 full bed). There is a small bathroom inside with toilet, full tub and shower. The living room area has two couches with reclining seats, 32" TV, DVD, VCR, basic Satellite.
There are 118 steps from the cabin down to the river and the last 1/2 mile of road is dirt and sometimes has ruts. There is also a steep hill just before the cabin so a small SUV or truck is helpful (although my small car does fine if I am careful).
The cabin is listed on another website for a higher price. This lower price and listing is for couples only since couples require less cleaning and wear and tear. It is also listed on HipCamp as a camping only option. The camping listing and cabin listing use the same property but do not overlap stays.
Many people have asked if this is a good place for a clothing optional/naturist nakation: We don't have a problem with it and no one needs to know. Just keep a towel with you to sit on. You are very unlikely to see any other humans, but occasionally a family will swim at the bridge at the edge of the property (One day a month). So cover up if you are nearing the property boundary while on the water. Turn off the outdoor security camera if it is not already off and enjoy being one with nature!

Relaxing private getaway
My husband and I went to the cabin to unplug for a few days. The private space was perfect! We were able to kayak up and down the river, swim in the cool, clear water, and bathe outside in the outdoor bathhouse. All in this sweet little spot tucked away in the woods. The cabin has everything you could need with hiking trails and fun finds right off the cabin. Games, fishing poles, hammocks, swings, and even an old school pop machine. We loved it.
The cabin felt like a secluded, charming treehouse. The outdoor bath and shower area was so relaxing and unique; I’ll never forget my peaceful soak there. The cabin itself had amazing views from every direction and all the right amenities from outdoor games to DVDs to comfortable beds. Todd was a fantastic host that was hospitable and responsive, but also very respectful of our privacy. I can’t wait to return!
Secluded cabin - enjoy nature
Secluded, comfortable cabin near Ouchita Lake and Forest. We enjoyed the views of forest-covered hills and the river below. So much included on the property (kayaks, tubes, fire area, grills, etc)! Very clean inside as well. Everything as expected from pictures and description. Great communication from host Todd. Nice hiking in every direction (and even several trails on the property). Great escape!
Feels like your own state park
This place is the real deal. My wife and I had never travelled to Arkansas before, but we were intrigued by the opportunity to have 80 acres to ourselves. After some heavy research, we decided to book Todd’s cabin.
We’re so happy we did! The property is fantastic. There are miles of trails. We explored all of the trails on the north side of the river, and visited a small waterfall in a spring across the river. The August temperatures were pretty hot, but we were able to spend hours floating in the multiple swimming holes along the river. The best part? You get it all to yourself!
The cabin is also fantastic. The deck offers awesome views. We had coffee out there every morning, and grilled out several times. We sat on the porch swings and watched a rain storm roll through on our last evening. The kitchen is very well stocked. We slept in the loft area as it was a bit cooler up there, but the main bedroom would be comfortable as well. We appreciated the personal touches that Todd and his family have put on the cabin.
We can’t review the indoor shower, because we bathed exclusively in the outdoor bathhouse. The views are spectacular and there was plenty of hot and cold water. It’s hard to beat watching a meteor streak across the sky as you drink a cold beer in an outdoor bathtub.
If you’re a couple looking for a private getaway, it’d be hard to find a better spot. If you’re a family looking for a much needed 2020 getaway, the cabin has everything you need.
Clean, comfy, peaceful, and private
A peaceful and private property! We were able to relax fully. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The host and his helpful neighbors went above and beyond. The hospitality made the trip for us. There was plenty to do around the property to keep us busy for the four days we were there. Will be back if they'll have us!
Treasure in the hills of arkansas
This place is amazing. The view is incredible. The cabin is supremely comfortable and stocked well. The hiking is plentiful and well-marked. Due to the season we came, we didn't kayak or play in the river, but I can only imagine this place would be super fun during the warmer months. This was a delightful treat and we would come back in a heartbeat.
Beautiful secluded cabin
We had a great time in this scenic, secluded home. All the amenities you could ask for to enjoy a great outdoor getaway- hiking trails, kayaks, games, etc.
The house has an extensive multi layered deck that includes an outside shower and tub, really neat!
Convenient location to a neighboring town 10-15 minutes drive away. We also drove to hot Springs for the day, about an hour trip.
Highly recommended- the host communicated well and took good care of us.
Loved our stay here!
What a serene, lovely place for a weekend getaway! The cabin's awesome -- love the decks -- and the property itself is amazing for hiking, kayaking etc. Highly recommend!
