The Homesteading Act of 1862, provided public land grants of 160 acres to any adult citizen who paid a small registration fee and agreed to live on the land continuously for 5 years, after which they would be granted a deed to the land. Our family still privately own's some of this original land today.

Welcome to Fancy Hill Cabins and RV Park LLC. These sites are larger sites up to 35 ft camper sites. All sites are pull through. These sites are located in a beautiful canopy of large trees with ease of access right off of Hwy 240 West. These sites will also gain access to Southfork of the Caddo River and Jack Creek just down the road less than a half a mile (but note these larger sites are not located on the creek), enjoy a nice walk or simply drive right down to the river. Bring those float tubes or we can have one ready for you at your site/cabin upon arrival, so you can soak in the cool river. Fancy Hill Lake is a short mile drive up the road. We are a short drive to Little Missouri Falls, Bard Springs and Albert Pike recreation areas. Close proximity to Wolf Pen Gap, and Shady Lake Recreation Areas. One hour from Hot Springs or Mena and 20 minutes from Glenwood. Fancy Hill Store located less than half a mile away for your convenience. We offer a privately owned, quiet, peaceful, family operated beautiful area to spend quality time with your family and friends while exploring the Ouachita National Forest and surrounding areas; Enjoy smore's in the afternoon over your open campfire after a long day hiking at Little Missouri Falls or digging for Diamonds at Murfreesboro. Lucky's Canoe Rental is 14 miles away located on the Caddo River. Kick back in your lawn chair, as you enjoy the evening sunset. Bring your ATV or rent a ATV and spend a day at Albert Pike or Wolf Pen Gap. Come and spend a weekend, a week, or a month and see all the beauty this area has to offer. Our property is family owned and our land has been in our family for over 100 years. We look forward to you staying with us!
