Places to see near Allysha B.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Allysha's place was totally not what we were expecting after looking at the pictures listed and reading all of the positive reviews. They have dumped a lot more trash on the property since those pictures were taken - we thought we had to be in the wrong place because it looks like a junkyard. There was barely enough room to park our truck and we had to walk around abandoned cars filled with trash, old jacuzzi tubs, and other items strewn about on their land before we found a path that led to a more wooded area for camping. But even there we could hear the neighbor's loud generator running, so it was not at all the "quiet and private" campsite that is advertised. We were very disappointed and left to find a better last minute campsite for the weekend.
Quiet, peaceful getaway!
Such a beautiful property! My partner, 3 dogs, and I were looking for a remote place that we could still make it to town to do some shopping/exploring. Allysha’s place was PERFECT!
Hiking in any direction, and the campsite was peaceful and just was we were looking for!
Allysha offered to meet up, but we didn’t want to interrupt her day-to-day. She gave great instructions on getting to the property and campsite, and we were left alone the entire time.
There was a ‘shooting range’ pretty close that someone used daily, didn’t bother us at all and was used at respectable times. Just fair warning if you hear gunshots while there, they are aiming at targets. 😉
Also, a chicken coop with a rooster who was very prompt in the morning- it was a nice wake up and time to start the coffee!
If you see a little gray kitten there, not sure who’s it is but she was SO sweet and I named her A.R. She spent the weekend with us and was very cuddly and playful with the dogs, and slept at campsite the whole time. Hope the next campers enjoy her company as much as we did!
Thanks for everything!!
Exactly what we needed
A few of my friends and I had planned a camping trip to Eureka springs, but we really wanted a private camping spot that let us do our own thing. This place was perfect to camp at! There’s a dirt path you have to take to get there so I wouldn’t recommend if your car can’t handle some bumps. But other than that it was very peaceful and the woods were very pretty! We went the beginning of October and it was the perfect time to be there. The spot is about a 15-20 min drive from downtown, and there’s lots of hiking spots nearby! Allysha was extremely nice and even had a cute puppy to greet us when we got there! Definitely recommend and can’t wait to see what the host will do with the place in the future!
