We had such a great time! This was our last night on our road trip and what a great way to end it! Donna met us at the gate and showed us to our site, told us a little about the land and how she came to move there. she showed us places to walk and look for quartz, turquoise and pictographs. I highly recommend staying here, it is a wonderful place.

We really enjoyed the solitude at Slow me down ranch. There are not many places to camp Along this stretch of Route 66. There is plenty of quiet rode to bike. We did not see any wildlife but the star show in the sky was fabulous. No light pollution here!
What an amazing place to stay ! Donna was flexible and helpful. The site offered so much and is incredibly beautiful. We will come back !!
Remote, peaceful, beautiful, tons if fun, and A gravel Cyclists heaven!! We really enjoyed our stay here. The drive up was a little rough, so just take it slow! Donna welcomed us at the gate with 2 of her dogs and led us to our campsite. We enjoyed a short sunset hike that evening and a campfire after. A lot of reviews mention hearing the sounds of animals, but we heard absolutely nothing- total silence (which was awesome!) we woke up the next morning and enjoyed a bike ride on the miles of gravel trails starting right at our campsite .

I loved staying at Donna’s ranch. It was so peaceful and the view of the stars was amazing. Donna was such a gracious host. I will definitely stay here again!
Donna was an excellent host, very friendly and a great communicator. She was also gracious and flexible with us when we got in (much) later than we originally expected. The property is GORGEOUS and very remote. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. Also shoutout to JT the dog. Highly recommended!
Great to tent camp!
Donna's camp was great! It was your basic rough camp site. Donna and her well behaved dog met us at the gate, and showed us to our site by having us follow her on the 4 wheeler!
I am glad we had an SUV.
Donna went over basic southwest knowledge such as back away from rattle snakes if you hear one, and stay out of a wash incase of rain.
We had no problems! We did have some large spider visitors at night though!
Donna pointed out where to find petroglyphs on her property too, very fun!
Great rough camping site!
Beautiful spot on the open road.
This site was a fun place along route 66 to stay with our girls. We enjoyed the area and exploring. Donna was a great and friendly host that shared information about the property. In addition, we enjoyed the company of her dogs. Thank you for allowing us to stay on your property and earn our primitive badge.
