Rancho Tres Brisas is a 150 acre working cattle ranch. To access all sites, you will need to travel down a 3 mile dirt road. We recommend high clearance vehicles although sedans can make it down if driven with care. Please be respectful of and keep your distance from the cattle and ranch machinery. Activities on property include: fishing (please get a fishing license; we do not sell them!) and swimming right in front of the camps. Bring a SUP, canoe or kayak for this small stretch of the river; this area is pretty calm (almost pond or lake like for about 1/4mi between two small sets of rapids). The property is a short walk from the Mindeleff Cavates (cavates is “small caves”); a protected Native American site in the area. To access the Cavates we recommend tennis shoes that can get wet as you’ll need to cross the river twice. Keep in mind: there are bees and other critters in this area as well as our property. Keep an eye out and you might see javelina, deer, river otters, herons and hawks. If you are lucky you might see elk or owl! Outside the property we recommend checking out Montezuma’s Castle (about 30 minutes north of us) or hike The Crack at Wet Beaver Creek (7 mile round trip; have plenty of water in summer).

Incredible view and river access, the amenities (water, portapotty, showers, fire pits) were all excellent. We had a really enjoyable one night stay, and were lucky enough to have the space to ourselves. The 3-mile journey out had some rough dirt roads but the main issue is clearance, they were excellent roads. Benches were excellent also and we had complete solitude at night. Some great trees for hammocking. Cannot wait to go back.

Our stay at Rancho Tres Brisas was a pleasant soujourn by the river. During our short stay, we set up tent by the edge of the riverbank. The camping plot was level and well-maintained with a fire ring, outdoor charcoal grill, and picnic table. Nearby, we had access to an open-sky shower and a simple toilet facility.

Our favorite part of the our stay at Rancho Tres Brisas was the river view. The campground is nestled in a valley right on the river. The view of the mountains and river from our site was lovely and peaceful. We also enjoyed how quiet this Hipcamp was; if you want a Hipcamp away from the hum of the highway, this is a good one!

Thank you for sharing your land with us! My husband and I enjoyed the time spent at Rancho Tres Brisas.

Camped here as a 4 person group and had a great time. Good water sources, showers, picnic tables, and a grill made things nice and easy.

We had a lovely camping trip in spot #4. The hiking on the property was a big bonus. The area provided plenty of privacy. We were able to launch our canoe very easily. Great hipcamp spot! We throughly enjoyed our camping trip on the river.

The campground is great! Really beautiful view! It is right on the river and there are river tours that go by throughout the day which looks super fun. The next time we come up to the area we will go on one of the tours (Verde River Tours).

We rented Campsite #1 - it is very small and up on a hill. The ground is not level anywere that is marked for Campsite #1. Luckily the people on Campsite #2 let us creep in on their site - if all the sites had been booked and Campsite #2 had not been so generous we would not have found a place for our tents. It was not a problem at all, but keep it in mind when selecting a site!

Overall, we had a great day/night camping here. Unfortunately, the site didn't feel secluded as we expected, and the people next to us had to walk through our campsite to use the outhouse/shower area.

This is an excellent place to camp right along the Verde River. We had a 4 person group with a large dog and it was lots of fun. Tons of valuable amenities, excellent host, great communication. Will be coming back to stay again soon! Our mastiff had a blast!

Loved it. Great location. Quiet. Loved the grill and many water sources. Sunset was incredible and so was stargazing. Great host.
