Clean, unique tent out in open land. Perfect spot for viewing the stars and decompressing. A nice touch that Einar included a portable heater in this cold November weather!
The drive there was straightforward and the dirt road (about 1 mile) was easily reachable in most cars (mine has 5.5 inch clearance and made it there no problem) when the ground is dry.
If you drive an EV, there are multiple charging stations within 30 miles of your stay (Tesla, ChargePoint, and Blink).
I'd highly recommend staying at Starlight Tents for a great off-grid experience!
Felt like we were away from everything which is what we were after. A heater was supplied which was great just to take a bit of the chill off, though we didn’t use it as much as some might. Only thing we didn’t expect was hearing the train running at night but not a huge issue to us, might be to some.
Loved this experience! Completely isolated from the city so we could see the stars so boldly at night. So peaceful and loved the cattle free lancing around us!
Brilliant.
A bit hot when we arrived, but the wind was quite strong and kept it reasonable. And it cooled down significantly once the sun went down.
The tent was clean and inviting, and although yes, there is a portaloo, it’s the damned cleanest, freshest smelling portaloo I’ve ever been in!
The really puts in the effort to make this place welcoming.
And of course the stars were amazing, and we got to listen to the odd train rumble by in the distance during the night. Fantastic.
If I could offer only one suggestion, it would be to add a permanent camping table/bench. Not everyone is well equipped enough to bring their own along.
:)
Thanks again!
Easy and simple stay. Check in was easy using a Google Maps. There is a bit of primitive road that you have to drive on, but not much. The port a potty was very clean which made it enjoyable. The hammock was also a great plus. Einar provides two chairs and a small foldable table, and a small air mattress. Would stay again to look for the stars!
Beautiful, loved the little thoughtful amenities. Didn't see the see stars because of clouds, but our whole trip was cooler because of the cloud cover, so I won't complain. We were halfway on our trip to the Grand Canyon. It was so easy and lovely to just get out of the car, and not worry about unpacking much of anything.
Very spartan and just right. The most lovely sunset and sunrise. Very quiet, very peaceful.

Nice tent set up. We were able to put another queen inflatable next to the provided bed and still had room to move around.
The spot is remote but was great for nighttime photography. So many stars and Milky Way was visible. There is a little market convenient store at the main highway exit - so you aren’t totally away from everything if you forget something.
Though I never met the host - we had all the info we needed for a great stay. Would do it again for sure

Perfect overnight for our Petrified Forest adventure! Thank you, Einar!
