This 40 acre property is wedged between the Peloncillo and Chiricahua Mountain Ranges in the San Simon Valley with 360-degree views. It is remote and private with Rodeo, New Mexico and the Chiricahua Park Ranger and Post office just a few miles away. There are no services, the nearest gas station is 18 miles away in Animas, NM. There are a few restaurants, but with COVID, I am not sure if they are open. The Coronado Nation Forest is very close by for hiking and watching wildlife. There are an abundance of ghost towns in this part of Arizona as well. There is only 3G internet available, so it is best to plan your outings in advance if you don't want to be spontaneous. Bisbee, AZ is 77 miles away and it is an old mining town which has become a haven for artists. There are incredible restaurants and antique stores and many haunted locations. Other possibility for day trips include; Tombstone, AZ, Silver City, NM, Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, or just stay close to camp and explore Chiricahua National Monument. This is dry camping, no services, and because you are in Arizona, no camp fires. There is a nice RV Campground a few miles away in Rodeo, so you could always end your trip there in order to dump and use their facilities. This area of Arizona is renowned for both bird watching and astronomy. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful views, wildlife, but don't mind roughing it a little bit, this is the place for you.
