The yard is full of active farming buildings and animals. Watch for farm bunnies and flying hawks. Listen to the songs of the chickens and other wild birds as they swoop around.

Go for a walk through the horse pasture and down into the bush. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax or have an outdoor picnic. You can schedule a date with the horses to feed, groom or ride in one of the outdoor arenas.

There are fresh eggs and garden produce for purchase, and in-season wild Saskatoons to pick on the edge of the property. In the evening enjoy a relaxing fire at your back door or in the backyard.

If you like a day trip there are golf courses nearby, and the beach at Gull Lake for swimming or fishing is less than 10 minutes away. You are 15 minutes from historic downtown Lacombe. Where there are many outdoor murals, a historic walk, grocery shopping and coffee shops. Gull Lake Honey and Good Neighbor Coffee are two businesses that are less than 5 minutes down the road.

If you don’t mind a bigger drive, the town of Sylvan Lake and the city of Red Deer are about a 30-minute drive away.
