Welcome to the Alaskan Interior. We are located roughly 130 miles south of the Arctic Circle. We are a roughly two mile walk or bike ride, by sidewalk from the Fairbanks Farmers Market. The University of Alaska is another two more miles down College Drive. We’re nestled in an eclectic neighborhood with several dry and semi dry log cabins. As well as townhouses, condos, but mainly single family homes. Our gated yard provides a great view of the Northern Lights, and we have a fire pit available as well. The fence line provides a little more privacy and for children, and pets. Pets of all sizes are welcome, we just ask that guest cleanup after them. The Fairbanks/North Pole Community provides opportunities to go dog mushing about a twenty minute drive away in North Pole. Yes I said NorthPole. Santa’s Shop has just been remodeled and has just reopened for business, and is right off Candy Cane Lane. Chena Hot Springs is about 50 miles away. The Springs are a great spot to spend an evening looking at the Northern Lights as well. Or just soaking in their outdoor hot springs on a -50F or -60F evening. Fairbanks is also home to the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum, one of the largest car museums in the world. Pioneer Park, The University of Alaska’s Museum of the North, and the Airport are all within six miles of our location. In fact Creamer’s Field, a 2,200 acre Migratory Waterfowl Refuge is a ten minute walk from our camp.
