An all-natural peaceful retreat
We absolutely loved this hidden gem! Perfect location for camping on Blackwater. The site has power, water, and even a kayak: it was way more than we had anticipated. The hosts, Larry & Sheila, were very accommodating and thoughtful. Such nice people who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The sky is beautiful at night lol it’s little light pollution which so I loved. If you do any astrophotography or astronomy, this is a great location. We will def be back!
Happy times and good memories :)
Thank you so much Sheila! We booked this at the very last minute and they we so welcoming! We were very luck and took a shot in the dark with this site and I’m so happy we did it! The campsite was GORGEOUS and it’s right by the creek. Highly recommend you buy the fire wood because they give you so do much of it! We will 100% be back. Thanks again
This place is amazing. It is pure paradise. We just got home from a short overnight trip and we will definitely be back soon and hopefully stay longer. This is a must see place.
Very amazing hospitality as well.
Thank u so much for sharing your little piece of heaven see u again soon
What a lovely remote spot. We loved every minute. The grounds maintenance gentleman who helped us with the kayaks made our trip. He was so helpful and we would have been up the creek without him. Will definitely be back.
A restful river spot!
Our hosts were super warm and welcoming upon our arrival. The photos don’t do the site’s beauty justice! If you love the river, this is the spot for you. It’s secluded, quiet, and perfect for unwinding.
The site itself has absolutely everything you could want! A sink, toilet, shower and countless accommodations the host kindly leaves in case you might have forgotten something at home.
You are also just a short drive to the Conecuh National Forest, which is a beautiful place for hiking, fishing, and exploring.
Awesome camping spot
This was a perfect getaway. They checked on us everyday and made sure we was ok and even brought us a fish and sausage skewer one night very sweet of them. It was quiet. It did rain a little bit but didn’t ruin our fun. We used the shower and toilet area they had, which was awesome. I would definitely stay again!
Amazing little gem my friend and I found on a last-minute camping trip. Sheila was amazing and offered to let us stay at her house while a storm was coming through. We weathered it out in the pavilion and had a blast. I definitely recommend staying here!
