Description

When the snow melts for the season in Wyoming you’ll find some serious awesomeness underneath all the white stuff. Take Turpin Meadow Campground for instance, with open, green grassy meadows for frolicking and frisbee, surrounded by evergreen forests on all sides and mountains that will leave you drooling. This place is a surefire way to get your mindblowing beauty and nature fix. Bring a picnic, take a hike, relax, dip your toes in the river and jump for joy with the roaming deer. Do your homework and be bear aware here and you’re golden.

We visited the Tetons during 4th of July weekend and ended up at Turpin Meadows for one night. The campground was full but you can camp at the trailhead in either a meadow in front of the campground or in an upper, gravel lot near the trail. The campground hosts were helpful and the area is beautiful. If you cannot find other camping in the park, I would recommend this site.
